Wintery Card

Winter-treeThe Burlington Santa Claus parade was yesterday….I had a good viewing spot for the tail end of it – very close to the Starbucks LOL.  It's definitely chillier outside these days…here's a quick way to winterize your cards…  The tree trunk from the Stampin' Up! set "Season of Friendship" is stamped in Chocolate Chip onto Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the bird in Ruby Red on the branch.  The snowflakes are stamped onto vellum cardstock in Ballet Blue, and then attached to the image with gold brads.  The slight opacity of the vellum reminds me of those cold snowy days.  I really like the vellum overlay technique and have used it on a number of different cards – it's really effective!

If you are hoping to get your favourite crafter some Stampin' Up! gifts, get your order in ASAP – we need to allow a bit more time for delivery with the increased amount of parcels in the system these days!  Place your order online here or contact me directly.  Stampin' Up! has recommended THIS Tuesday, December 8th if you'd like to be sure to get your package before Christmas.
