Often I'm asked "How did you get the idea for this card design?"  I enjoy coming up with designs for cards on my own, but I also use ideas from other card makers.  I thought I'd share with you a card evolution.

Here is my card:

Outside Inside This uses this Vintage Vogue stamp set.  I used Soft Suede as the base colour.  Though my photo is a little off I think (in terms of colour); the neutral portion of the card is actually Whisper White…hmmm..doesn't look very white here, does it?!  White embossing powder as well.

OK – here's Sue Farrant's card that inspired me:

Sues version

She used the same stamp set, but used Chocolate Chip as her base, and Vanilla as her embossing powder.

And here is the card that inspired Sue!  By Shannon West.

Vintage Suede #4

Kind of neat to see the evolution, eh?

So there you have it – you don't always have to come up with everything on your own – take elements from another card that you like, and make it your own!!
