On Wednesday, November 23rd, I'm offering an Advent Calendar Class here in Burlington. Cost is $45 and includes all supplies – we'll create 25 little envelopes that you can tuck a treat or message into to create your calendar. Taking a moment to reflect and be grateful on this Remembrance Day 11-11-11.
I was fortunate as a teenager to be able to travel to Europe with the Burlington Teen Tour Band to participate in the 40th Anniversary of D-Day. To stand on the beaches and in the graveyards there made a huge impact on me. One of the things I remember most is that we were the same age as many of the fallen in the graveyard – nothing like a little check of how fortunate we are because of what they did.
