Frameable art

Framed-artFun thing about creating scrapbook pages – you can frame them to display like the work of art that they are!  This is one of the displays from Stampin' Up!'s convention – I still have so many photos to go through…I loved the effect of the butterflies going through the frame – and so easy to recreate using the Beautiful Wings embosslit and your Big Shot.

The Lattice Bigz die creates a layer on the background of DSP; and hey – look, there's a notched edge on that strip of paper behind the photo? Wonder how they might have done that??!! ROFLOL.

If you're interested in getting a whole whack of pages done at once, consider attending my scrapbook in a day class, technically scrapbook in an afternoon…but you get the idea…more information and a sign up link can be found on the yamstamps class & events page, or you can contact me directly.

New feature – Tuesday Tips – notched ends video tutorial

Thought I'd add a "Tuesday Tip" – a quick tip for your paper crafting! The plan is for this to be a semi-regular feature here at www.yamstamps.com  Today's video tutorial is a variety of ways (okay, 4 to be exact) that you can create notched ends in your paper or ribbon to complete the look of your paper craft projects.  If you are reading this in a reader or via email, the video may not appear, so in that case, please go to the video on the yamstamps youtube channel or the yamstamps blog to see it.

The stamp sets used in the project were Blue Ribbon and Confetti for the birthday card, and the swap card used Bootiful Occasions (on my wish list…LOL).

If you have anything you'd like to see featured on Tuesday Tips, please leave a comment below (please note, they will not appear right away as comments must be approved as legitimate!) or send me an email.

Up, Up and Away!

Hot-air-balloonsObviously these 3D images caught my eye because I have another example from Stampin' Up!'s Convention. These fun hot air balloons are such cute decorations!  Again, an easy way to create a 3D image – stamp or print (if you're digital crafting with My Digital Studio 2), cut out the images, fold in half and adhere together – voila!

In the meantime, I'm getting ready for my upcoming classes – will I see you at one soon?! Lots of inspiration from Stampin' Up!'s convention PLUS the recent Regional Training event in Hamilton – good thing I tidied up my craft area today – since it will be messy by tomorrow after I start creating…there's a reason that I posted a pic of my clean stamping table on Instagram a while back – because it's such a rare sighting!!!

OK off to play in my craft area for a while – thanks for stopping by!
