Reminder for Rubber Garage Sale

Hi all.  So.  As I noted on the yamstamps facebook page, I apparently jinx myself every time I put a project up on the blog on the day that I am going to be on TV.  The last few times I've done that, inevitably that's the project that does NOT get featured!!! ROFLOL.  I owe you all a video, which I hope to work on this weekend.

ALSO:

Just a reminder that if you'll be attending the New Catalogue Open House & Rubber Garage Sale, please 1) RSVP and 2) Bring cash/cheque for your Garage Sale purchases.  If you wish to place a new catalogue order, I can still accept credit card payment for that.  Any questions, please contact me!

More of the Mini Book

Inside-mini-book Here's another shot of the mini book that I'm sharing today on CH Morning Live. It's really quite easy and is a fun way to save some memorabilia, photos and memories from summer vacation.

If this is the first time you're visiting www.yamstamps.com, welcome! Please sign up for my July email newsletter which is being published tomorrow, Tuesday, July 5th.

I hope you had a great long weekend, and a Happy Canada Day….and if you're in the US, Happy Independence Day!  I'll be sharing more projects from today's TV appearance in the next few days, so please be sure to come back to see them!

Mini Book

If you're a fan of my Yamstamps Facebook Page you'll have seen the update I posted – I'm going to be on CH Morning Live tomorrow morning (Monday, July 4th) at 8:10 am (approximately!). I'll be sharing some craft ideas for you to do with the kids in your life.

Mini-book

Here's a sneak peek at a mini book I'm planning on sharing – I'll show the rest of it tomorrow, and if by chance we run out of time before I get to show how it's made, I'll be sure to create a video to share!

Lots to Celebrate this July 1st!!

Happy Canada Day!  Happy New Catalogue Day!  Happy new mini Starter Kit Special Day!  *phew*  Good thing it's a holiday here because there's a lot to catch up on!

Stampin' Up!'s new 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalogue is here!  Be patient with the online version…it will take a while to load the goodness!  Hard copies will be available for free at my Open House on Saturday July 9th.  Be sure to take note of the new Hostess Program – more choices and more options!!

DBWS_MainAd_July2011_CA altered There's an additional option for the starter kit available for July!  Perfect for those of you who already have a bit of Stampin' Up! product at home already, and great to get your business started cost-effectively.  Of course, the regular options for the starter kit are still available as well…  The smaller kit features over $200 of product and business supplies, and is available for $119; the additional bonus? All recruits (and recruiters) will receive a Christmas Keepsake Box project for FREE!  You can sign up from the comfort of your own home (available after approximately 2pm Eastern Time July 1st) but if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or come to my Opportunity Information Night on Wednesday, July 13th at 7pm – the only requirement is that you let me know you'll be there!  Looking forward to seeing many of you very soon!

New Business Training Program!

I'm excited to offer a new program to new demonstrators who sign up with me. My business coach is offering a new "Business Basics Program" and I've decided to cover the cost for any new demonstrator signing up with me!  For those who want a refresher, or want to revitalize their stamping business, it's not a bad option, either!  If you'd like more information about this six month program, click on the link here (or above where it says "Business Basics Program").

If you'd like more information about what's involved in becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Canada, please attend my Opportunity Information Night on Wednesday, July 13th at 7pm in Burlington ON. (Click on the link to RSVP). I have team members all across Canada, and the more the merrier!  If you are unable to attend the half hour presentation that evening, but would still like the information, please contact me.

New Catalogue Open House!

I have boxes of the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalogue ready to be distributed!  My annual new catalogue open house (and rubber garage sale) is set for Saturday, July 8th from 10am til noon at my place in Burlington ON.  Please RSVP for directions.  Those signed up for my email newsletter or facebook page will have already received notification of this date….  Looking forward to seeing you there!!  Please contact me if you have any questions.

More Last Chance Items

Stampin' Up! has let us know that two items were left off the Last Chance List:

Simple Birthday Thanks Background Stamp

For the Bride

If you'd like to grab either of these items while they're still available, click on the name of the stamp set above and it will take you directly to my online store where you can shop and have items delivered to your door, anywhere in Canada!  (and via UPS so no worries while Canada Post is still out).  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!

More Father’s Day Card ideas

All-in-family-father This is a cute card using the All in the Family stamp set.  I like the hand-drawn quality of the images that you piece together as you please.  I just "eyeballed" the assembly of the images, though if you are particular about your placement of body parts LOL you could use the Stamp-a-ma-jig to ensure everything is perfect.  Since it's a hand-drawn type image, I figure it's not SUPPOSED to be perfect…and as I always say, if the recipient criticizes the handmade card, THEY DON'T DESERVE IT!!! LOL. Globe-father's-day

Keeping in the black & white scheme, this is definitely a more mature set of images!  I thought the brass metallic eyelets were kind of "nautical" and went with the theme of the stamp set (it's called The Open Sea….not that you can tell from the images I selected for this card LOL).  Recent class attendees created this card, but we didn't have the sentiment on the front so it was able to be used for whatever occasion suited.  I often leave my cards blank and then stamp an appropriate sentiment when I need a card.

I've made it a mission to be sure to include at least one masculine-type card in each of my card classes, so if you're in need of more masculine cards in your card stash, consider attending one of my classes or hosting one in your own home!  Contact me for details.

Father’s Day Card Ideas

Ties These are some of the cards that you might not have gotten a good look at during my CH Morning Live TV appearance.  Getting set for Father's Day….this is an easy card to recreate!  I coloured each tie with either a Bashful Blue or Certainly Celery Stampin' Write marker, then "huffed" on it (like Darth Vadar) to remoisten the ink before stamping it onto the cardstock.

Origami-shirt

On the next card, I stamped the image with Night of Navy Classic Ink, then trimmed out one of the ties to use on my origami shirt.

I was going to show how to fold the shirt while on CH Morning Live, then decided against it as it might have been hard to see.  (That, and I figured there was a high probability that I'd mess it up with no chance for a "re-do"!!)  I'll try to get a youtube video up to show how it's done (video = as many retakes as I need before I post the final product LOL).

I'll have some more Father's Day / masculine card samples for you tomorrow!

CH Morning Live Appearance Video

I have uploaded the video from my June 7th appearance on CH Morning Live featuring Father's Day cards and photo gifts.  Watching the video, I notice that the projects on the right side of the table never got featured, so I will be sure to upload photos of those in the upcoming days, so please come back to www.yamstamps.com to see them!  If you can't see the video embedded below, please click HERE to go to my youtube channel (ironically enough, called yamstamps LOL) and watch it there.  Thanks to Tom for the video capture.  One of these days perhaps I'll figure out how to do that myself…..perhaps…..
