Sale-a-Brate Valentine’s Day!

Let’s Sale-a-Brate Valentine’s Day with this clean and simple card!

I love easy crafting, and I also love clean and simple cards, so I am ready to Sale-a-Brate Valentine’s Day with this card that ticks all of those boxes!

The Sale-a-Brating part comes from the background – Most Adored Designer Series Paper – which is one of the Level 1 choices. You can select it as your free product with a $60CAD product order. IT’S SHINY!! I love shiny things 🙂 I also love the gradient on it – more hearts at one end than the other.

I used the Bee Builder punch to quickly punch out some hearts – the large one is Cherry Cobbler Cardstock, and the smaller one is from a different sheet of the Most Adored DSP.

A sweet and simple way to sale-a-brate Valentine’s Day!

In any case, you have a couple of weeks left to Sale-a-Brate! The Bee Builder punch is from the January-April Mini Catalogue, so is available until the end of April/while supplies last, but the Most Adored Designer Series Paper is only around until the end of February (when Sale-a-Bration ends) or while supplies last!! “Love”ly Eye Candy!

Check out my Lovely Cards Inspiration Book – a portable photo gallery!

I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! Canada Demonstrator for twenty years – time definitely flies when you’re having fun! You can imagine how many cards I’ve made in that time. I did manage to take photos or scans(!) of many of the cards that I created over the years.

Recently, I spent time going through my archives….and have collected a hundred project photos that focus on love to create the Lovely Cards Inspiration Book, and I’m happy to offer that for sale right now! It’s an ebook photo gallery – so you can download it as soon as the purchase transaction completes. You’ll be able to go through all the photos and get ideas and inspiration for your own cards and projects!

Lovely Cards Inspiration EBook

This is an ebook – so it’s in pdf form that you can download to your device and look through whenever you have the chance. It is NOT a tutorial book. It’s meant to inspire your designs and creativity with your crafty stash items! You can use the Inspiration Book photos as a jumping off point, but you could also just copy the design elements or layout of whatever card catches your eye. Paper Crafting doesn’t have to be difficult to be fun and impressive!

Check out YamStamps.com/lovelycards for more information and to purchase your copy in time for Valentine’s Day – but also for ANY time you’d like to let someone know that you care!

Sending Love Card

This is a card we’ll be doing in our Stampers Club (which I am contemplating renaming “Card Club”….anyway, I digress…). It’s a “sending love card” which could be used for Valentine’s Day or just to keep in touch with a friend.

Sending Love Card

I created this card with the Snailed It Bundle – which includes the Snailed It stamp set and the Snail Dies. I love the little envelope die! I used it to create three envelopes and then die cut a heart and the “letter” sized stitched rectangle to go inside. The stamp set has a cute cartoon feel to it – so I like that you can use some of the items to create a not over the top cutesy card.

For the club version of this sending love card, I focused on the die cuts, since I can include die cuts in the card kits. Stampin’ Up! regulations prohibit us from including any pre-stamped images in our kits, so for those club members who have the stamp set and bundle, (or non-club members who are seeing this card on the YamStamps site! LOL) my suggestion is to add the “hello” stamp to one of the little letters in the envelope, or to one of the strips of cardstock on the front of the card.

With the current stay at home regulations in Ontario, mailing cards is a great way to keep in touch while staying physically distanced – and you can get out for exercise by walking to the mailbox?! I will let you know that it seems that shipping may take a little longer than the usual due to the sheer volume of parcels in general that are being moved by the various companies – so you may want to keep that in mind. If you would like to use the Snailed It Bundle for your Valentine’s Day cards, you will likely want to place an order sooner rather than later. Plus if you order the bundle before the end of February, you’ll qualify for a Level One free Sale-a-Bration item since the bundle is just over the $60 product level! You can shop online from anywhere in Canada in the YamStamps Online Stampin’ Up! Canada store by clicking on this link or remembering the shortcut yamstamps.com/shop. The other option is to email me and I can place the order for you – you can either arrange to do a porch pickup in Burlington ON or I can have the order shipped directly to you in Canada. Trying to give you lots of options so that you can get fun new product to get crafty!

Cherry Blossoms Card

This soft pink cherry blossoms card will hopefully distract you from the weather outside – because it’s been pretty dreary and grey lately in my neighbourhood! It could be used for a wedding, anniversary, engagement or Valentine’s Day, or swap out the sentiment and make it a birthday card or “just because” card.

Forever Blossoms Card

This card features the Forever Blossoms stamp set from the Jan-June Mini Catalogue (click on the link to see all the catalogue items in the online Stampin’ Up! Canada YamStamps store). The embossing folder used on the Petal Pink Cardstock layer is the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder. I stamped the cherry blossoms image onto a piece of Vellum Cardstock, and then adhered it onto a layer of Very Vanilla Cardstock so the image showed up a bit more. I added some Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the flowers for some “bling” but also to hide the glue dots that I used to hold the vellum in place! There’s also some SNAIL adhesive on the vellum, hiding behind the sentiment.

I have to admit – this is the first time that I purchased an entire suite bundle from a catalogue. When I saw the Parisian Blossoms Suite I knew I had to have everything in it….

I mean, seriously. What is NOT to love about this suite?! The cherry blossoms card only uses a tiny portion of the product in it. I am talking myself into cutting up the Designer Series Paper rather than just hoarding it too! This is one of the suite of products that has me looking to get into scrapbooking a bit more. I am keeping my goals really low and low key, like a layout a month. Seriously. Since I haven’t done much personal memory keeping at all of late, I’m not going to put too much pressure on myself! If you’re a YamStamps Newsletter subscriber, you’ll have seen my layout in last week’s big monthly projects newsletter. I can only go up from there….LOL.

If you are looking to get some “me” time or “friends” time into your schedule, why not join a cardmaking class? The Monthly Card Classes are (generally) the first Wednesday of each month here in Burlington ON. Grab a friend and come to class, or come on your own and meet some new friends who like to try something crafty too! Afternoon session is 1pm, evening session is 7pm. You can see upcoming dates on the YamStamps Events Page. If that day or those times don’t work for you – contact me about a private card class! My place or yours!

Happy Valentine’s Day! Sweet Treat Topper

Happy Valentine’s Day! There’s still time to whip up a cute treat for someone special – like this fun treat topper!

sweet treat topper for Valentine's Day

This is a quick and easy way to present a sweet treat to someone. Using Stampin’ Up! food safe cello bags, simply close the bag (I just used adhesive tape) and then fold some Designer Series Paper over the top and adhere in place! In this case, I die cut a Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheet (Level 1 Sale-a-Bration choice – free with a $60 CAD product order) heart from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and adhered it onto a piece of Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper.

If you’re wondering about the treats – our family has enjoyed trying the different flavours of Japanese Kit Kats…though the ones in this gift bag are pretty “tame” – strawberry and matcha green tea. One of my “bucket list” trips is to go to Japan…and of course I will have to search out some different flavours to try once I get there! We’ve been trying out the Bokksu boxes as well in the meantime – a different box of a variety of Japanese snacks arrives in the mail each month. February’s did include some Kits Kats, so I was particularly happy about that! (click on the referral link for $5 off if you want to try a box!).

Happy Valentine’s Day!
