Light the Candles!

Light the Candles has been one of the most popular items in the Kits Collection by Stampin’ Up! – and you can get it for 50% off during June!

Light the Candles
Light the Candles Kit

The Light the Candles Kit is back in stock and just in time! Starting today and running until the end of June – Buy One, Get One Half Price on the Kits Collection by Stampin’ Up! The Kits Collection refers to a number of project based kits that are available while supplies last. Often kits will sell out, and then re-appear later on – as is the case with the Light the Candles Kit. That being said, there is no guarantee that they will always come back! The kits contain supplies to create the projects – but you can use your imagination and come up with your own variations! They will often – but not always – include ink spots and adhesive, too. You just need to read the description of the kit to know what’s included.

Who are these kits for?

Anyone who likes to craft! Seriously! It’s great for beginners because most of the supplies are prepped and ready to go. It’s great for experienced crafters because it’s a compact crafting set that you can take with you anywhere. It’s great for when you want to create, but don’t have the energy to come up with a design on your own. It’s great for when you want to come up with your own designs, because it gives you a “jumping off” point. It’s great for crafters with limited space for lots of supplies – it fits in one box!

The BOGO sale is perfect if you have a friend or family member that you’d like to craft with. You could each get whatever kit interested you and then enjoy each other’s company while you work on your own kits. This is a great sale as well to have some kits on hand for the upcoming summer holidays, when you hear the “I’m BOOOOOORED” call, or want some time out of the sun and away from screens for a little while.

The shortcut to all the Kits Collection in the YamStamps Online Stampin’ Up! Canada store is yamstamps.com/kits. When you shop the online store and add two kits to your shopping cart, the more expensive one is automatically calculated at a 50% discount. There’s no limit to how many kits you purchase! (well, other than your crafting budget limit!). Please note that Paper Pumpkin (another great kit offering from Stampin’ Up!) is NOT part of this promotion. Shortcut to shopping is yamstamps.com/shop otherwise. If you would like assistance placing your order, or would like to pay by etransfer, you can message me! Happy BOGO shopping!

Bridge Card

An ocean inspired Bridge Card!

Bridge Card
Waves of the Ocean Bridge Card

Waves of the Ocean is a Limited Time offering from Stampin’ Up! – available while supplies last or until 2 May 2022. It features the Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set and coordinating Waves Dies (also available together in a discounted bundle). These items are a sneak peek from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue. Other items available in this collection during the Promotion Period are the Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper featured on the side panels of this bridge card. They are actual images from acrylic pours that one of the Stampin’ Up! Concept Artists created – and they’re gorgeous. I die cut the wave images from the Blue Foils that were available in this collection and I love the effect. Unfortunately, the Foil sheets are sold out and no longer available. Also no longer available – the Rhinestone Wave Basic Jewels. So if you like the look of this Designer Series Paper – don’t hesitate, because you may miss out!

What I like about this Bridge Card design is that it fits into a regular Medium Stampin’ Up! envelope (the “usual” card sized envelope) but it’s a little fancier than your average card! We made this card in Stampers Club last month, and one tip when you’re making this card in advance – if you only stick down one side of the bridge strip, you can still easily write or decorate the middle panel, then stick the other side down when you’re ready to send it.

Our Stampers Club continues to meet virtually at this point in time, and the bonus to this is that out of towners can easily join in on the fun! The other bonus is that if any club member has to miss our usual get together, the recordings are available in our member site so can be watched later. We will likely meet in person again in the future, but may try to figure out a way to do a hybrid version so that there’s an option for those who can’t travel easily to Burlington! If you’d like to join Stampers Club, or have any questions, please contact me. You can find more information on club on the YamStamps Events Page as well. New members can start during any month – though if you want to join us starting in April, you’ll need to contact me ASAP so that I can prepare your class package in time!

Happy February!

Lots of things to celebrate today – like the Lunar New Year/Year of the Tiger (I shared a Tiger card on the YamStamps Facebook Page), plus the release of a special collection from Stampin’ Up – the All Together Collection!

The All Together Collection is available for purchase today until 2 May 2022. It features a new set of Stampin’ Blends Markers – the Naturals Tones. You can purchase them in sets of two[Light, Medium Light, Medium, Medium Deep and Deep] , or get the entire set of Naturals Blends markers, which cover a range of shades that can be used for skin tones. These alcohol based markers will be available in the next Annual Catalogue as well – so this is like a Sneak Peek at new product. The other products in this collection will NOT appear in the next catalogue – so they’re only available during this promotion period.

All Together

The “easy” button to purchase all the items is the Suite Collection, which includes the full collection of Blends, the Here Together Stamp Set , (also available in French), coordinating Here For You Dies (available in French) and the All Together 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. The Stamp Set and Dies are also available together in a discounted bundle, in English or French.

I love this collection – it’s going to be great for a bit of colouring therapy for me, plus it will make for some great cards and scrapbook pages! Don’t forget that if you place an order for $60 product (before shipping/taxes), you’ll also get Sale-a-Bration products of your choice for free until the end of February! Shortcut to shopping is YamStamps.com/shop.

Hello There Card

Why, hello there…. Sharing this “Hello There Card” with you today. With a lot going on in the Stampin’ Up! world, I thought I’d remind you that there’s this fantastic suite of products available for a limited time. The Eden’s Garden Collection includes the Eden’s Garden Stamp Set (also available in French) and Eden Dies (and discounted bundle that includes both/also available in French) – which will be available in the upcoming January-June Mini Catalogue, plus some limited time offerings: the Ever Eden Specialty Designer Series Paper, Ever Eden Cotton Paper and Garden Gems will only be available while supplies last or until January 3rd – whichever comes first. (see my earlier post about this collection here)

hello there card
Hello There Card

I used the dies to cut the Cotton Paper (which is almost like a tissue paper feel) and a scrap of Gold Foil. I love the gold metallic accent on the Specialty Designer Series Paper, so this coordinated well with the Gold Foil backing tag. I added some of the Garden Gems to the tag as well for an easy, elegant card. The Cotton Paper is really pliable, so I just folded the ends behind the DSP and held them in place with tape for an quick addition to the card.

If you’re on my mailing list, you’ll know that we are wrapping up the Twelve Weeks of Christmas mailings this week (um….what?!). I think I may post a bonus project next week, though. In the meantime, I need to try and get MY holiday cards mailed out, or at least get my tree decorated, right? Perhaps I will just send a number of hello there cards instead. How many cards are you sending (okay, have you “sent”, because you’re probably ahead of me) this year?
