Flutterby butterfly

ButterfliesAnother non-Christmas/holiday card for you…  This is one of my favourite sentiments – If nothing ever changed there would be no butterflies…  Designed by Andrea for our previous Stamp a Stack, it uses the Stampin Up! set Flight of the Butterfly.  I love how the butterfly punch coordinates with the images in this set.  I don't usually like to do a lot of "fussy cutting", so coordinating punches are right up my alley.

Off to finish up prep work for the Mississauga Holiday Stamp a Stack this weekend.  One more holiday stamp a stack and then it's back to "regular" workshops and classes.

I am finalizing my mini catalogue mail outs in the next few days…if you're in Canada and would like a copy of the upcoming Sale-a-Bration and Occasions Mini Catalogues, please contact me.  I'll need your mailing address and your phone number to be sure that I can provide good customer service.  (Oh, and TRUST me – you're going to want to get your hands on these upcoming minis….nudge nudge wink wink).  Say no more!

Snowy Card

Snowflakes-cardClose-upI love using blue for holiday cards.  This is Stampin' Up!'s Ballet Blue combined with Night of Navy and Shimmery White Cardstock.  I tried a close up of the white so maybe you can pick up the shimmer a bit?!  It's subtle…but it's there.

Serene Snowflakes stamped in Night of Navy & Ballet Blue (why think too hard, just coordinate the ink with the cardstock…LOL)

I punched snowflakes out of Night of Navy & Shimmery White.  The rhinestone gem in the centre of the snowflakes is the gem from a clear rhinestone brad.  To get the gem out, open the arms of the brad, then pry back one of the retaining arms.  I will often search through the brads to find one that the little arm is sticking out ever so slightly – much easier to pry open.  Pop out the gem & then adhere it with a little Tombow Mono Adhesive.  I love the clear rhinestone brads, but this just gives another look, and a little less bulk.

Email newsletter subscribers should be receiving week 8 of the 12 Weeks of Christmas today.  How did we get here already??!!  Please sign up for my newsletters at the top left of the blog.  Non-Canadians are welcome to sign up for ideas and inspiration, but please be aware that I am prohibited from selling to those outside of Canada.

Thinking of You Card

Thinking-of-you-cardTo give you a change of pace from the holiday themed cards I have been posting…here's a Thinking of You card that we did the other evening at club.  We used Stampin' Up!'s Eastern Blooms set, and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  Gold elastic cord for accents.  For the knot, we used 2 pieces of cord, doubled over & knotted in the middle; the ends of the cord are adhered behind the image.  Just a little different way to use your cording for an accent.

The last two weeks of November are busy for me – Christmas Card Clinic, two stamp a stacks and a workshop!  OK I'm back to the stamp room to cut cardstock!

I’m Certifiable!

I know some of you are saying "I knew that…." LOL.  I just received the official word that I am a Stampin Up My Digital Studio Certified Demonstrator.  What does that mean?  It means I can help you with any questions you have about the software and its use!  As part of the certification program, I attended webinars, completed quizzes and printed product with the software.  (In fact, I'm anticipating delivery of my self-created but professionally-printed Christmas cards in the next couple of days!).

If you're interested in finding out more about this great software, contact me.  Don't forget that hostesses can purchase the My Digital Studio software for 50% off with workshop sales over $525 (all the more reason to have a BIG stamping party!!).
