Stair Step Card

Stair-step-card

This version of a stair step card uses the wonderful Sending Love specialty designer series paper.  I love how one side of each of the sheets features a glittery element.  I used the stamp set Love You Much since we're close to Valentine's Day.

If you want more detailed instructions on how to make a stair step card, it's my new subscriber tutorial bonus, so be sure to sign up for my email newsletters if you haven't already, and it will show up in your inbox by the next day!

In the meantime, I'm off to prepare for my Stampers & Scrappers Club get together tonight.  If you're interested in participating in a club, please contact me for more information.

A Sweet Treat for Valentine’s Day

Sweet-treat-valentineI had fun (as always) on CH Morning Live yesterday.  Time always seems to fly so I'm not sure if you were able to catch much of a glimpse of this card on air.  I used the Heart Shaped Sweet Treat Cups and some Conversation Heart candy (I think that's what they're called…).  The Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay colours are a bright combination for this fun card.  The stamped image is from the Sweetheart Stamp set.  I love how the images fit the heart shaped sweet treat cups…and how the cups fit perfectly into the opening created by the full heart punch.  It's a no-brainer (perfect for me!! LOL).  The hearts along the bottom were created with the new small heart punch.

I had a lot of creations that probably didn't get viewed on air, so I'll be posting pictures of them here at yamstamps.com.  I'm hoping to have the video of the appearance posted here in the next day or so as well, so be sure to come back to check it out.  Until then, thanks for stopping by.

Scrapbook in a Box

Welcome!  If I've timed this right, this post should go up just before I'm on the air on CH Morning Live.  If you're new, please sign up for my newsletter (box at the top left).  You'll be included in the monthly draw, and your new subscriber card tutorial bonus should be in your email inbox by tomorrow.

In the meantime…here's a look at Wednesday's class project – the Scrapbook in a Box.  This is a "step up" from my previous Page in a Box – great if you have lots of family members or lots of photos!

Outside-sb-box

Closed – I had fun with the Scallop Trim Border & Corner Punches!

Inside-sb-box

Open – there are 3 pages on each side for a total of 12 photos or stamped images.  The sentiment in the centre is from the Well Scripted set in the Occasions Mini Catalogue.

Contact me if you'd like to grab a seat at Wednesday's class.  If you can't make it to Burlington on Wednesday, consider getting a group of friends together and I'll come to you!!

Love You Bear-y Much

Bab-valentineI was introduced to Build-a-Bear when I was in the US a number of years ago (my first Stampin' Up convention in Las Vegas) – and now they're here in Canada too!  I love Stampin' Up's Build-a-Bear Workshop Collection, and there's more reason to love these great dies, stamps and papers…  Until April 30th, with every $25 purchase from this collection, you'll receive a coupon for $5 off at the Build-a-Bear workshop store near you!  The collection is featured on p 38-40 of the Occasions Mini Catalogue.  You can contact me for more information, or if you're ready to place your order, you can order online here.  Don't forget with your $65 merchandise order, you will also get a Sale-a-Bration product of your choice for FREE!

This card was made using the Stampin' Up! Bear Bigz die.  I used the Pawsitively Prints Designer Series paper with the Beary Essentials die to create the clothes, and then I used the new Small Heart punch for the heart he's holding.

I'll be taking this sample with me when I appear on TV on Monday (CH Morning Live) – and I'll be getting up slightly earlier – my time slot is now scheduled for 8:10 am!!  In the meantime, I'll be back in my stamping room finishing up my other show & tell projects!!
