Christmas Card Clinic – Card Two

Card-clinic-10-card-2 This is another option for the Christmas Card Clinic.  I tried to get a more straight on shot of the front of the card…but I don't think it worked, it looks a little "wonky" to me…anyway, you get the idea, right?!

I'll continue to post different options for the clinics – remember that you pick one design, come on the clinic date that works for you, and whip off 10 cards…because I'll have precut and prepped everything for you….you just stamp, punch and assemble!

Also – Week 2 of the 12 Weeks of Christmas emails is going out tomorrow at 1pm to my mailing list subscribers.  Sign up box is at the top left of the page here at www.yamstamps.com

Christmas Card Clinic – Design 1

Card-clinic-10-card-1 This is one of the design choices for this year's Christmas Card Clinic.  It's a Whisper White card base with Marina Mist ink and cardstock, plus a bit of dazzling diamonds glitter (optional!) for added "bling".

The stamps are from a retired Stampin' Up! set…and I think it might have been a hostess set as well…but I'm not even sure of the name…sorry… but know that I have it here and it's ready for you to come and use to create your cards!! LOL.

Card clinics are being held in the first few weeks of November, cost is $25 for 10 cards and envelopes, with $2 per additional card of same design thereafter.  Please contact me if you have any questions.  All clinics will be held here in Burlington ON.   On that note, today's reflection is that I'm grateful to have the opportunity to have a home based business that allows me to earn some extra income, have fun and keep my family as a priority 🙂

Apple Blossoms Card

Hostess-set-card This is a level 2 hostess set that you can earn with sales over $395 (Canadian) at your Stampin' Up! workshop.  This is another swap from the Hamilton regional demonstrator training event last month…although this demo didn't identify herself on her swap, so I can't give her credit!!!  I love the effective use of colour on this one – you don't necessarily need a lot of layers to create a great card!  I can see creating a whole bunch of these in one shot and tying them with a pretty ribbon as a gift for a friend…or even to keep on hand to send off in the mail.  Nothing like a handmade card in the mail to make someone's day a little brighter!!

If you're interested in making a bunch of cards…..don't forget that I have monthly card classes here in Burlington ON, or gather a group of friends together and I can come to you!!  I am working on finalizing a few more card designs for the Christmas Card Clinics – I'll start revealing some of the designs tomorrow!  You can select a design and I will precut all the cardstock & have the supplies prepped and waiting for you.  Minimum of 10 cards, $25 includes all supplies plus envelopes, and if you need more than 10 cards, each additional card is only $2.  Contact me for more information – and check my events page for the dates.

Today's reflection – I am thankful for my family…and I'm looking forward to having turkey dinner with some of them this evening!!

Barb’s Card

Barbs-card This beautiful card was created by Barb Walkem, one of the demonstrators in my downline (one of my Stampin' Up! family!).  It features the stamp set "Just Believe" from the current Idea Book & Catalogue.  I love the clean elegant look of this one, and the colours are reminiscent of the ones outside my window right now.

Barb created this cardfront to "swap" with other demos at the Hamilton regional event a while back, and was kind enough to share one with me (even though I didn't have anything to swap back at the time!!).  Swaps like this are a great way for me to get inspiration and ideas to use in my future card classes (see, you don't have to be that creative to be a demonstrator, just a good copier!! LOL).

Hope you have a chance to spend time with friends and family this weekend.  This Thanksgiving weekend, I'm taking time to reflect on all the aspects of my life for which I am thankful.  Here's one – I'm grateful for the friends I've met (and have yet to meet!) through Stampin' Up!

Starter Kit Technique – Sponging

One more video to share with you.  Wishing all my Canadian friends a very Happy Thanksgiving.  Looks like it's going to be a beautiful weekend, weather-wise, as well!!  Hoping to get out and take some pictures of the colours – and get some scrapbooking of said photos done!!  In the meantime, for your viewing pleasure…another technique video featuring some of Stampin' Up!'s great product that's available in the demonstrator starter kit.  Contact me for more information!

In the Pink…

Pink-birthday-cardOne of the things I love about Stampin' Up! is that the ink and papers coordinate so well.  Less thinking for me is always a good thing….LOL.  For this card, I masked off a section and used Pretty in Pink and Melon Mambo inks to stamp the flowers.  A light sponging of Pretty in Pink helps to define the revealed area.  A cut out and popped up flower adds a 3D element.  Melon Mambo cardstock frames the images and coordinates with the ink.

I used a birthday greeting on this card.  This is one of those patterns that you can switch the colours and sentiments and easily create a "new" card!
