This beautiful card is one that I received from a member of my “Eh” Team of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators, Leanne Cyr. Isn’t it lovely? Featuring the Sale-a-Bration favourite set, Lotus Blossom. Love the colours and spring feeling. She’s also used the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Catalogue. Did you know that the original designs for this paper set were all hand painted?
It’s coming down to the crunch to get your hands on Sale-a-Bration items with each $60 merchandise order, and extra items in your Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator starter kit – March 31st is the last day to take advantage of these deals. Please contact me if you need assistance, have any questions, or are ready to pick out your starter kit items (I can walk you through the sign up process). You can shop online 24/7 at the YamStamps Online Stampin’ Up! Canada store. PLEASE don’t leave it til the last minute, in part because Sale-a-Bration items are while supplies last, and in part because any good site can be overwhelmed by high amounts of traffic, and of course, that tends to happen the closer that we get to deadlines!
Time is ticking…you have 5 days left to take advantage of Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-a-Bration – it ends March 31st, but PLEASE don’t wait until then as most Sale-a-Bration items are while supplies last. If you’re looking to join my “Eh” Team of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, sign up before March 31st to get a free kit from the Occasions catalogue, but again, don’t wait! Having lived through Stampin’ Up! deadlines before, I’m pretty sure that the system will be overloaded with last minute shoppers and new demonstrators – and it’s not pretty. Please contact me if you have questions or need assistance!
This is a card we did in Stampers Club this month – using the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper, which is a Sale-a-Bration free item with each $60 merchandise order. This paper is already embossed, so just add ink! We sponged Always Artichoke ink onto the cardstock – I like the look of the sponging because it’s not solid – it gives a gradation to the colour. If you like the more solid colour effect, you can brayer the ink onto the paper, but I figure we need to highlight the fact that it’s not just a solid printed paper! Added the “thanks” from the Hello You Thinlits and a bit of gold ribbon and it’s done.
Check out the latest video on the YamStamps YouTube channel showing how to make cutting with Thinlits an easy experience. Thrifty Tip Reminder – get double duty from your backing cardstock – cut the word from the cardstock before adhering the remainder underneath your Designer Series paper! Happy Crafting.
Here are the deals for this week from Stampin’ Up! Don’t forget that if you order $60 worth of merchandise, you can select a free Sale-a-Bation item! Click here or on the image to see the items in the online store – 24/7 shopping in Canada! I love the coordination of the Label Love set and the Artisan Label punch – my faves this week.
Stampin’ Up! is going to be discontinuing MDS, their digital scrapbooking program. The program, digital media (downloads), and in-program printing will not be available for download nor purchase after 31 May 2015. With that in mind, you should take these steps NOW.
1) If you want the MDS program, trial (30days free)/purchase/download it. If you have the program, you can continue to use it after 31 May, though there will not be future updates or upgrades. Program discs will be available while supplies last only.
2) If you want any of the available Stampin’ Up! digital images, purchase and download them now. Backup your files as well.
3) If you have purchased any digital images, be sure that you’ve downloaded them. I would download them in MDS format AND in the format for other programs (you get .png files that you can use with digital photo editing software, like Photoshop Elements). This way, in the future, you can still use the images.
Do this by logging into your customer profile and clicking on My Account.
Then click on Downloads to access the Digital Download Manager, which shows you all your purchases. The Digital Download Manager will also be discontinued as of 31 May.
4) If you are currently working on a project in MDS and want to have it printed by Stampin’ Up!, it must be uploaded and ordered as of 31 May. After this date, you can still export your project to be printed by another printer, or print them at home yourself.
5) If you have any other questions, please contact me.
Stampin’ Up! Canada has added a few more items that you can select for free with each $60 merchandise order. Don’t take too long deciding, though, since Sale-a-Bration only lasts for just under two weeks more! Happy Shopping! Click on the image or on the shopping link to go to the online store.
Still looking for last minute decor for your St. Patrick’s Day party? Check out the Lucky Framable Designer Template – it’s an instant digital download available via the YamStamps Stampin’ Up! Canada online store – just purchase, download & print for less than the cost of a designer coffee! Click on the image to see it in the store.
While you’re there, don’t forget to check out the Weekly Deals – they will “impress” you I think…lots of Textured Impressions Embossing Folders for the taking plus a stamp set and some ribbon! I love how the Mosaic Madness stamp set coordinates with the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder. Click on the image to see all the Weekly Deals.
Happy Shopping!
How fun is this set? Each month, Stampin’ Up! has put out a new photopolymer set. I’ve tried to highlight them on the YamStamps Facebook Page, but thought I’d share this one here as well. This set, called Just Kidding, perfectly fits my (some would say sarcastic and warped) sense of humour, so you know it’s on my list of items to order…
In the meantime, it’s Stampers Club today! If you’re interested in a monthly get together and are local to Burlington, ON, please consider joining us. Current Club dates are the 3rd Monday of each month, and there’s an afternoon and evening option. You join for 6 months, place a minimum order and receive hostess benefits once during that 6 month period. If you’re not local to Burlington, there’s also an online club option – commit to placing a minimum order for 6 months in a row, and receive online access to samples, instructions and supply lists for 4 card projects (or via email if you prefer). Contact me for more information or to sign up. Club is a great way to budget out your crafting spending while having a little “me” creative time as well. Not to be too preachy about it, but I do believe that spending time on yourself is so important, especially if you’re taking care of others at work and/or at home!
Tomorrow brings the latest Weekly Deals and I’ll be sure to highlight them here on YamStamps.com so please come back to see them!
Time for the next batch of Stampin’ Up! Canada Weekly Deals! First of all, though, some sad news 🙁 Blendabilities have been unavailable to order / on backorder for the past while, and Stampin’ Up! has had to make the difficult decision to discontinue this line at this time. They were having quality control issues – apparently there were an unacceptable amount not passing muster before they left the manufacturer. While I’m sad to see the Blendabilities discontinued, at the same time, I am reassured that the company has taken this step since the product wasn’t meeting their standards. It does give me faith that they believe in producing quality items. In the meantime, I don’t believe that any of my customers at this point in time have any outstanding orders for Blendabilities, and the people in the Thursday Blendabilities class are covered – all the markers arrived before the item codes were turned off and unavailable. For those of you that have Blendabilities, enjoy them, and use them. Don’t let them sit on a shelf!! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
In the meantime to cheer you up, here’s the latest group of deals.
Click on the image or HERE to be taken directly to the Weekly Deals in the YamStamps Online Stampin’ Up! Canada store. Don’t forget that if you select $60 in merchandise, you get to add in a Sale-a-Bration item! I love how the Wildflower Meadow stamp and Embossing Folder coordinate…so that’s a fave on my list this week!
If you’ve checked out my blog and projects, you’ll know that in general, I like quick, easy and clean cards and projects, or things that maybe look difficult but aren’t! This isn’t to say that I don’t make more complicated items or over the top stuff, but because of my nature, it’s better for me to get it “done and dusted” rather than messing around with it for ages (which usually translates to never finished, or wrecked because I did just a little too much tweaking…) So I’ve decided that I’ll try to share on a semi-regular basis “Manic Mondays” (child of the ’80s, can you tell?) – cards that are really fast to copy and create and get out the door.
This quick and easy card features one of Stampin’ Up!’s photopolymer sets – Snuggles and Smooches. I love the scribbly image! Stamp the scribbles, stamp the word and punch out, then add it onto a die cut. A bit of washi tape and a background add finishing touches. You’ll be able to stamp this card in minutes and get it into the mail to brighten someone’s day.
Another new feature I’m trying – please let me know what you think! Below is a clickable visual supply list. Happy Stamping!
