Spring??!!!

Oh my goodness, this is NOT what I had in mind for the beginning of spring….

Snowy-chair

Somewhere, a very evil groundhog is laughing….

Anyway, thought I'd pop up and share this spring-like card….at least there are paper flowers to be had.

DSC_0294

Colour is sponged onto the paper daisies which are adhered to a piece of Certainly Celery cardstock, then run through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

My petals are a little "free" as I only adhered the centre of the flower.  Club members who adhered their flowers a little more securely (i.e. made the effort to get a bit of glue stick on the petals as well LOL) had a bit more of an "engrained" effect.

I will be sharing a few more cards and flowers in the next little while, in hope that Mother Nature gets the hint!  I think Ontario's had enough of winter for now, thank you very much….

More miniature works of art!

If you've purchased Stampin' Up! product through me, if the package is delivered to me and I bring it to you, you'll know that I sort out the product, bag it and then attach a tag with your name on it and "thanks".  My recent tags were inspired by the Simply Adorned charm I created the other day.

Tag

Imagine my delight when I opened one of the delivery boxes from Stampin' Up! to find this amongst all the new stamping goodies……

SU-tag
How fun is this?!  Thanks to Dennis at SU for the little tag included in the delivery box! It definitely brightened my day and brought a smile to my face!!

Sale-a-brating a Birthday?!

Sab-card This is a fun birthday card created using some of the free product you can receive during Sale-a-Bration!

The image is from the set Bring on the Cake – in Stampin' Up!'s Occasions Mini Catalogue. Inked in Pacific Point, I removed the ink from the flames of the candles and re-inked with a Stampin' Write marker before stamping onto the cardstock.  The Designer Series Paper is from the Ice Cream Parlour Designer Series Paper and Quick Accents Pack, and the ribbon is from the Ice Cream Parlour Ribbon & Button Pack.  Either of these bundles can be chosen with each $60 in merchandise order. The Scallop Trim Border Punch echoes the scallop on the cake plate in the image.

You still have time to Sale-a-Brate…you can place an online order HERE (click on SHOP NOW) or contact me directly to place your order or book a workshop!

Medallion Card

Medallion-card

I love Stampin' Up!'s single Medallion stamp – it's such a great graphic, and suitable for all sorts of occasions! On this card, the image is heat embossed in gold on Elegant Eggplant, and backed onto River Rock.  I got that colour combination from Stampin' Up!'s Colour Coach, and I admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but in the end, I really quite like those two colours together!  I also like that if my embossing isn't "perfect" on this image, it gives a cool worn / vintage effect.

This card will be / is featured in a number of my workshops these days because it's another of those high impact, low workload kind of cards – you know, looks impressive but actually isn't that hard to (re)create!  Just my kind of crafting!!

If you're keen to host a workshop in the next while, I do have a _few_ openings for March – you can still get in on the Sale-a-Bration!  Contact me if you're interested!

Things I Love card

Things-i-love-outsid Things-i-love-inside

If all goes right, this post will appear on the blog around the same time I'm on air on CH Morning Live.  This is one of the cards I'm planning on featuring!

This is a fun card for a loved one – great for Valentine's Day or a birthday, or "just because".  This Stampin' Up! set, Things I Love, is also great for a scrapbook page!  (If you have created a page with it, please let me know – I'd love to share your art here!)

You can pick & choose which images you might use on your card….for instance, some people I know might just use the chocolate stamp three times!! LOL

On the inside of the card, I created a 3D glittery heart – easy peasy with the Full Heart Punch and Red Glimmer Paper available in the Occasions Mini Catalogue
