Happy Digital Scrapbooking Day! In honour, I'm sharing this cute project from Stampin' Up!, created in My Digital Studio. One of the things I love about digital crafting is that it's so easy to make sure things are precisely lined up – so grid layouts like this are a snap. Even easier since it used a template… Click here for details.
Contact me for details on the My Digital Studio software – I'm certified!!! (as in a certified My Digital Studio software Demonstrator…why? What were you thinking?!) LOL.
Also a reminder that we are "Falling Back" tonight – turning back the clocks to gain that extra hour. After today's fun workshop at Carolanne's (thanks, Carolanne!), I will be prepping for Stampers & Scrappers Club on Monday and a Christmas Card Clinic Stamp a Stack hosted by Marianne for her friends on Wednesday! So I think I'll be using some of that extra time to prep, and then catch some zzzzzzs. How will you spend that time?!

I designed this two page layout for the Stampers and Scrappers club a little while back…and I was so pleased with it I thought I'd share it here 🙂
I used the Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper, and then simply pulled colours from it to use on the layout. (Why think any harder than I have to?!!). I also used the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder for the Big Shot because I love dry embossing this way!!
If you're interested in trying your hand at scrapbooking or cardmaking and want to budget your spending, my Stampers & Scrappers Club is a great way to do so! There's a new Club starting in January – if you're interested in getting more details, please contact me!

As was pointed out to me, today is "90210" (September 2nd, 2010). In honour of this day, I quickly created a photo layout of my recent trip to California! While it's not quite Beverly Hills of the 90210 zip code, it's San Francisco, which is in the same state, and a lot closer than I am at present to the proper geographical zone…
I created this page using Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio software. I love scrapbooking digitally because all my photos are digital. I simply click and drag things where I want them and I'm done! (OK, add a few shadows, add the text, but essentially that's it…) The digital stamp (Journey) is from the Define Your LIfe set, included in MDS, and the When/Where are from the digital stamp set "Hoppy Memories". This took me just moments to create, and I can now print this out or share the digital file with friends and family (or on my blog here!).
I know I'm looking forward to the long weekend that's upcoming. I also am hearing that the Holiday Mini Catalogue has started arriving in mailboxes… If you received your copy in the mail from me, be ready for my phone call in the next few days! If you can tell me the name of the set on page 28, you'll get $5 towards your September Stampin' Up! purchase with me!!

This is a quick, fun page I made the other day. I was able to share it during a recent taping for Cogeco TV's "FYI" (not sure of the air date yet). This page has only a bit of actual stamping (you can vaguely see "fun" in the top right corner, right?!). I cut the circles freehand for the sun from So Saffron and More Mustard, and sponged some So Saffron on the page as well. The water is Pacific Point (YAY this colour is back!), and I cut it into "waves" with scissors, then sponged Pacific Point along the edge. The sand is a torn strip of Sahara Sand cardstock. The fish is a punch creation and I couldn't resist adding a little "googly eye". I journalled with my white gel pen to emphasize the wave shape. I tend to be non-chronological when I scrapbook (usually because I have soooo many photos waiting to be scrapped!! LOL) and I included photos from two different years, but with the same water theme. This is a great way to feel "caught up" with your scrapbooking, and to use some single photos that you love.
I'm offering a scrapbooking class in July – Monday, July 26th at 7pm – we'll do a two page layout with a tropical/summer theme – see my class page for details and contact me to reserve your spot!!

It's Scrapbooking Month! If you're digital scrapper, hybrid scrapper, paper scrapper or a wannabe scrapper, it's time to celebrate. Another reason to celebrate – the new Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalogue is here! Lots of new stamp sets, papers and tools (Smooch Spritz!!!) to keep the paper crafter happy. New special as well – free brads with qualifying purchase – see here for details.
In honour of Scrapbooking Month, I'm sharing this "scrapmap" or template for a scrapbook page. This was actually featured in one of last year's Stampin' Success, the Stampin' Up! demonstrator only monthly magazine. I chose this map to share as it's a clean, simple layout, not too intimidating for a newer scrapper, and one that an experienced scrapper can use as is or jazz up. The concept is simple – the white blocks would be where you would place your pictures, journaling or momentos, the thin stripe to the left could be ribbon, cardstock or designer paper and the circles can be either punch outs, brads, or other accessories. It's just the base, and you can build on it.
I'm off for an in home class with Helen and her friends today. I recently donated a Silent Auction package to the local Retired Women Teachers' Organization, and whe was the winner! If you're looking for another opportunity to win, I'll be donating another gift basket full of goodies to the Sam's Day event, happening in Burlington on June 5th. For five years now, Sam and his family have been organizing this massive event to raise funds for Neuroblastoma research at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto – and this is one small way I can support this fantastic effort. (The other way is by participating – if you'd like to pledge, I'd appreciate it – I'm participating in the Rock n' Bowl with my son!)
