Sorry, couldn’t resist….and if you’re singing the song in your head right now, you are my people. We theatre geeks must stick together. (or is it theatre nerds? I can never keep track).
ANYWAY. Stampin’ Up! has a special limited time product suite available until the end of May, OR WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. I put that part in capitals because the way things have been selling of late, who knows if this suite will make it to May 31?!
Coming up in the new catalogue, Stampin’ Up! will have product medleys – with a single code and all in price – to make it easier for those of us who “gotta have it all”…or for those of us who like having things handed to us. (I would be in both of those categories…). So the Everything is Rosy Medley is a preview of how this will work!
As you can see, if you choose item 150059, you’ll get everything in this medley – exclusive products! * Everything Is Rosy Photopolymer Stamp Set—18 stamps; suggested blocks: a, b, c * Everything Is Rosy Dies—10 dies; largest die 2-7/8″ x 1″ (7.3 x 2.5 cm) * 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Stack—48 sheets; 8 each of 6 double-sided designs * 6″ x 6″ rose gold foil paper—8 sheets * Printed die cuts—2 sheets * Rose gold die cuts—4 sheets; 2 each of 2 designs * Rose gold adhesive backed mirror embellishments—60 embellishments; 1/4″ (6.4 mm) * Melon Mambo 1/4″ (6.4 mm) Ruched Ribbon—10 yards (9.1 m) * Night of Navy/Rose Gold 3/8″ (1 cm) Metallic –Edge Ribbon—10 yards (9.1 m) * Rose Gold Shimmer Paint—1/2 oz. This is a perfect card for a Manic Monday – easy but impressive (though that’s the goal for most of my crafting any day of the week….). This Metallic Foil Birthday Card features one of the Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheets which comes paired with Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets as a Sale-a-Bration Level 1 package! You get four sheets of each, so eight sheets total for plenty of crafting opportunities!
For this Metallic Foil Birthday Card, I used the Grapefruit Grove Foil which has an iridescent sheen to it – so it’s good for a gender neutral kind of card! Here it’s embossed with the Scattered Sequins Dynamic Embossing Folder, and the sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set. I usually like to use circles for sentiments or images if I can because they’re very forgiving – you don’t have to worry about whether the image is totally straight – and in this case, I wanted to mount the sentiment on an angle to make it a bit more interesting, so it’s easy to do if there aren’t any straight lines or corners I need to worry about! Just a few steps and this card is done. Of course, I used my thrifty trick of cutting the backing circle from the backing layer of cardstock for the foil sheet – since noone will see the hole there anyway!
Just a reminder that for each $60 CAD in product that you order, you earn a Level 1 Sale-a-Bration reward (like the foil sheet package used to make the Metallic Foil Birthday Card) – and $120 CAD product order means you can pick either a Level 2 reward or TWO Level 1 rewards! Coming on Friday, February 15 – more options! A new set of rewards to tempt you through to the end of Sale-a-Bration, March 31st. I’ll be sure to post a link to the catalogue here on the YamStamps site on Friday.
Of course, the Demonstrator Starter Kit special is still going strong – $225 worth of product of your choice for just $135 – or you could add in an exclusive Craft & Carry Tote Bag for a total kit price of $175. Provincial sales tax ONLY applies – so if you’re in a province with a blended tax, there is NO tax, and FREE shipping. You can check out this page of FAQ (shortcut is yamstamps.com/join) or contact me if you want more information about joining my “Eh” Team of stampers! I’d love to have you join our group!
So…if you haven’t figured it out, I really like clean and simple designs. Here’s another one! A clean and simple birthday card. This is a two step stamp set, meaning that there are two (or more) stamps that combine to make a complete image. By using Stampin’ Up!’s stamp positioning tool Stamparatus, this is made even more easy!
This card uses the Varied Vases stamp set, which has a coordinating Vases Builder Punch – and you can get them together in a discounted bundle. Since it’s a photopolymer set, it can be used with clear blocks or the Stamparatus. For a class situation (like the Monthly Card Class or Stampers Club), it’s great to use the Stamparatus. I just set it up, and align the stamps, and it will be perfect each time. In this case, the stem and flower outline is one stamp, and the flower colour is another. Since the sentiment and flowers are the same colour, I put those stamps together on one side of the plate, and put the outline on the other side. Not seen – the inside sentiment, which was on the other plate. Subscribe to the YamStamps Facebook Page and you’ll get a notification of when I go live next – I’ll show how quickly this clean and simple birthday card comes together!
Stampin’ Up! challenged us to share some #simplestamping ideas – and this qualifies as that! Though…I may have cheated slightly by adding a layer. I think Stampin’ Up! wants to define Simple Stamping as a notecard, ink and stamps only….so maybe I pushed those boundaries a bit haha! I used a scrap of Very Vanilla to stamp the vase and punch it out, and then simply adhered it in place on the front of the card. So maybe it’s just a clean and simple birthday card because of that?! Ah well. I still like it.
The Stamparatus is great if you’re doing multiples of the same card since you’re guaranteed to get the same placement each time. Perhaps I should be using it to help me crank out some more Christmas cards to send?! I may convert them into Holiday/New Year cards…since between me still fiddling with them and Canada Post dealing with a backlog of mail to sort through…
Stampin’ Up! is offering some discounts on selected product as part of the Year End Closeout! Check out the Year End Closeout in the YamStamps Online Stampin’ Up! Canada store. (or download the list here) You’ll see which items are retiring from the Holiday Catalogue, and which items are being offered at a discount – while supplies last.
