A Valentine and a Sneak Peek

I love the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits Dies – such a lacy, delicate look! I also love that Stampin’ Up! has it in a discounted bundle with the Bloomin’ Love Photopolymer Stamp Set. The Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper is a beautiful way to show off this die. The Curvy Corner Trio Punch adds a decorative touch to the corners. So glad that it’s stayed around from the Holiday Catalogue! Did you know that it was the number one selling tool from that catalogue? I’m not surprised!

I’ve been working behind the scenes getting ready for the online class version of the Party Wishes Bundle Class which should be up and running on the weekend – here’s a sneak peek:

I hope that you’ll join me online for this fun class! Full details will be on the YamStampsMore Class site, but check back here for updates and for the official launch!

New Weekly Deals January 26th

weekly deals jan 26

Here are the latest Weekly Deals from Stampin’ Up! Canada! The Bear Hugs framelits are available in the Occasions Catalogue in a bundle (link goes to the clear mount version) with the matching stamp set, so if you just grabbed the stamp set and regret not getting the bundle, here’s your chance to grab the framelits at a discount. Otherwise, weird but true, my favourite thing on this list is the clothespins. I love those mini clothespins! They can be a bit bulky for mailing, but if you’re hand delivering a card, they’re a fun accent. They’re great for 3D projects and I often will use them in my planner to hold little notes.

Don’t forget that when you’re shopping (click here to go to the YamStamps online Stampin’ Up! Canada store), once your total merchandise hits $60 you get a free Sale-a-Bration item! Merchandise purchased can include regular priced merchandise, bundles, Weekly Deals and Clearance Rack items! Contact me if you have any questions or need assistance placing your order.

If you missed out on registering for the in person Calendar and Party Wishes bundle class, I have an online version of the Party Wishes Card Class that is in the finishing stages and should be up by the end of the weekend – so stay tuned! My online class offerings are housed at YamStampsMore.

Birthday Pop Up Card

LY--5LY--4

How fun is this birthday card? So impressive….but so EASY! This is made using Stampin’ Up!’s Party with Cake bundle. It’s available in wood mount or clear mount and includes the thinlits that create the pop up effect. Essentially you score your cardstock, align your thinlit die (easiest using the Magnetic Platform), run it through your Big Shot and then adhere it inside your card. Seriously. That’s how easy. This card is lovely and bright, using Pacific Point and Crushed Curry together. Add a bit of Cherry on Top Designer Washi Tape and you’ve got an eye popping card that’s good for either gender!

The Occasions catalogue is full of great bundles – stamps and coordinating punches, dies or Designer Series Paper – and when you get a bundle, you save money! Even better – until March 31st, you can earn free Sale-a-Bration items just by shopping! Check out the YamStamps online Stampin’ Up! Canada store, or contact me for more information!

Here are this week’s specially priced items from Stampin’ Up! Canada. I’m excited to see the Party Punch Pack from the Occasions Catalogue is included in this set of deals! It’s also available as part of a bundle, but if you just wanted the cute punches on their own, this is a great way to pick them up.  Happy shopping! (I’m off to shovel my way out…)

Hello….

LY--2

It’s me…. (sorry, couldn’t resist). I was singing Adele’s song to myself the whole time I was creating this card. Thought I’d share that earworm with you! In any case, I do love this Hello stamp set from Stampin’ Up! which is shown on page 19 of the Sale-a-Bration catalogue. It’s one of the limited time offerings. Sale-a-Bration runs until the end of March, but there’s a certain number of items only available until February 15 (that means less than a month to get your hands on this!). I paired it with the English Garden Designer Series Paper (love the hand painted look). The sentiment is cut out with one of the framelits from the Project Life Cards and Labels framelits set. This is one of the most used of my framelits because it’s a perfect size for some of the larger or longer sentiments. I also tend to have more success die cutting a sentiment and adding it, rather than stamping directly onto the cardfront – this is one way that I can ensure that the sentiment is totally straight and exactly where I want it to be.

Stampers Club members are making this card today during club. If you’re interested in joining club or want more information, see the YamStamps events page, or contact me for more information.

Weekly Deals and Approaching Deadlines

weekly deals 12 jan

Here are this week’s deals from Stampin’ Up! Canada. As usual, I find it difficult to pick out my faves. I do like the Something to Say stamp set because I always find having a variety of sentiments means I can customize a card to the occasion. This particular set has pairs of sentiments that go together – so you can have one on the outside of a card and one on the inside. My second favourite this week, considering we’re almost half way through January (eek!) is the hearts border punch because it’s a great accent for Valentine’s Day cards.

A reminder that there are four days until the registration cut off for the Birthday Bash Classes – your fee will include the Perpetual Calendar kit and the Birthday Wishes set and punches. You’ll take all of these items home along with the completed projects. I will supply the inks and stamps and whatever else is needed to complete all the projects while you are at the class (the stamps are not included in the Calendar kit). Here’s a peek at one of the calendar pages that I’ve finished. For the calendar class, you can copy my pages, or just use them as inspiration and use the stamps and ink and included supplies to create your own versions. I know for me, it’s always nice to have a visual jumping off point for projects. If you attend both classes, it’s more economical, plus you’ll get a free Sale-a-Bration item! See the YamStamps Events page for more information, options, and to register! As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, or leave a comment below.
