An Announcement plus a Reminder!

don't forgetA reminder that if you purchased retired rubber from me during my June Open House, you have a gift certificate to use! Please contact me by August 31st with your order so you don’t miss out!

As well – I have some new classes on my schedule! CHRISTMAS CARD CLASSES! Yes, it’s getting to that time of year….so – the first Friday evening of each month from September to December inclusive is a Christmas Card Class. Each class will feature four different cards for you to make, and the class fee of $20 includes all the supplies you’ll need plus the envelopes. BONUS: if you register for all four classes by September 4th, you will make an extra, exclusive card at each class – so that’s 5 cards instead of 4 – at EACH class – it’s like getting an extra class for free! See my schedule for more information and the paypal link to register and ensure your spot, as spaces are limited.

One last option for you (because I like choices) – get a group of friends together and I will bring the Christmas Card Class to you! Contact me for my available dates….first come, first served.

Rainbow Grunge

rainbow-grungeWhen is a grungy card not grungy? When you turn it into a rainbow…. This card is made with Stampin’ Up’s  Gorgeous Grunge set! I got the inspiration for this card from the display boards at convention (in other words, I copied it…LOL). I was muttering to myself as I was making it “Roy G Biv” – and then discovered that not everyone learned colours of the rainbow that way? (do I date myself by saying that?!).  Anyway, I love this card, and I love that it’s not a typically grungy grunge card 🙂  If you decide to reproduce this card, just be sure to have your handy Stampin’ Scrub and Stampin’ Mist beside you – so easy to clean your stamp in between colours. The “hello there” sentiment is from the Happy Day set. When we did this card in club, we also used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to ensure the lines were parallel to one another. In case you need a refresher on how to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig – check out a picture tutorial I did back in 2007!

As always, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I hope that the back to school frenzy isn’t too crazy for you…

An Attitude of Gratitude

photopolymer-stamps Stampin’ Up!’s new photopolymer set is called “Another Thank You”. These fun sets give you another cost-effective option in your crafting.  See all the photopolymer sets here.  Click on the image to see the flyer for this set.

This set is great for me as I’m working on my own attitude of gratitude – remembering to be thankful as part of my everyday life. Too often it’s easy to grumble about things, but I’m trying not to be a “Negative Nelly”! (sorry, if your name is Nelly…nothing personal….LOL). So once I get this set, I’m planning on setting aside some time to create some “just because” thank you cards! Nothing better than showing others that you appreciate them, right?!

If you need to set aside some time to create or for yourself (like that segue?!) why not join us at my Monthly Card Class or Stampers Club? Either option gives you a scheduled time to come and learn some new techniques and try the latest Stampin’ Up! tools. See my events page for more information or contact me if you have any questions. The kids are getting ready to go back to classes (okay, well maybe not the kids, but the parents at least?!) – so what about YOU?!
