Taking a moment to reflect and be grateful on this Remembrance Day 11-11-11.
I was fortunate as a teenager to be able to travel to Europe with the Burlington Teen Tour Band to participate in the 40th Anniversary of D-Day. To stand on the beaches and in the graveyards there made a huge impact on me. One of the things I remember most is that we were the same age as many of the fallen in the graveyard – nothing like a little check of how fortunate we are because of what they did.
So my appearance on FYI was postponed and it will be tonight at 6:25 pm! I thought I had managed to reschedule the blog posting, but apparently I had some technical difficulties and it appeared on the original date. Oops. Anyway, the spot I did on "FYI" for Cogeco cable TV – channel 23 in the Burlington/Oakville/Flamborough East area will be aired today. If you're outside of the viewing area, here's the link to video. (it's also embedded below, if I did it correctly?!). They wanted to feature the free content available here on www.yamstamps.com! The team at FYI were great to work with and did a fantastic job of editing – I had to cough during the interview and they were able to get rid of almost all of the coughs! (Note to self: remember to use inhaler just before taping next time!!! LOL). Thanks to Jessica and the Cogeco team for having me on the show!
This was to be one of the choices for the Christmas Card Clinics…..and I inadvertently left it out of the photo album for the clinic. DOH.
Anyway, this is a seventh option for your choice of Christmas cards, so once again, if you'd like to make these for your friends and family, contact me to register and reserve your spot in one of the clinics.
Since so many people completed the questionnaire and took advantage of the free downloads for My Digital Studio (and zip files for other photo editing programs) – there's a FIFTH free download available! Click here to go to mydigitalstudio.net and download the fun holiday themed download – it's great!!
This is one of the card options for the Christmas Card clinics starting next week. I also decided to showcase it today at Carolanne's workshop – as she had requested to do a couple of Christmas cards. I always think monochromatic colour schemes are so elegant.
If you'd like to mass produce these cards to send to your friends, please register for one of my card clinics – just let me know which card you'd like to make, and which date you'll be attending. All clinics are here in Burlington, and there's a choice of days and times. Please note that space is limited so register early!
Just a friendly reminder to turn your clock back one hour before going to sleep tonight! I much prefer the "falling back" vs. "springing forward" as I always feel like I'm so productive when I get up "early" the next day LOL. Gives me an extra hour to make sure I've got everything packed for Carolanne's workshop on Sunday – and gives YOU an extra hour to contemplate being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator with my team! The free Big Shot with your starter kit purchase has been extended to November 11th. If you'd like to discuss what's involved in becoming a demonstrator (hint….not that much LOL) contact me!
Thought I’d try my tech skills and give a screen capture video tutorial a try – feel free to give feedback! This shows how I created my digital scrapbook page (I know, you thought it was my raw talent, but really….this video shows the truth ROFLOL). It’s a flash video so some devices may not support it. If it doesn’t show up or the link above doesn’t work, here’s the link to the yamstamps youtube channel version. Fingers crossed that one of the links will work for you!!
Stampin' Up! is celebrating Digital Scrapbooking Day by sharing the digi goodness with you! Head to MyDigitalStudio.net, complete the survey and download your four FREE items! The free items include a digital brush stamp set, a holiday ensemble (images, accents) and templates, plus a FANTASTIC set of "tapes" in neutral colours.
Here is the FASTEST page ever! This is one of the free templates available as a download. I simply downloaded it, unzipped it, and opened it in My Digital Studio. I did a "drag and drop" of the photo, added my journalling and saved it! I just happened to have a perfect photo for this title 🙂
If you'd like more information about My Digital Studio, or digital scrapbooking in general, please feel free to contact me! I acquired a neat video program a while back, so plan on sharing some videos in the near future on creating items in My Digital Studio – stay tuned!
