I love to use repetition in my card layouts – I think it's an easy way to create a striking card. This card features the Contempo Christmas stamp set (currently on sale, bundled with Designer Series paper) and the coordinating Stampin' Around wheel. Repetition comes from the colour – Garden Green cardstock and inks – for the wheel and the tree. (I used the stampin' write marker to selectively colour the tree on the main image); and the layout – rectangles with the ticket corner punch in the corners.
My Christmas Card Clinics are done for this year, but I still have some space in my upcoming classes – Vintage Christmas, and the December card class – see my events page for information and contact me to reserve your spot!
Stampin' Up! has a variety of products available but first and foremost is their stamp sets and how to use them. Here is a great video showcasing the simplicity of their stamps and how we can use them. Enjoy! Please contact me if you have any questions. (If you are getting this post in email/reader and can't see the video, click here to come to the original blog post to view it).
Stampin' Up!'s Candy Countdown Calendar is a fun and sweet way to mark off the days til Christmas. The kit comes ready to assemble, so it's a fun family project (both in its creation and it's consumption!!). It's featured in the Holiday Mini Catalogue, and it's also featured in the Silent Auction Basket that I've donated to the Charles R. Beaudoin School Holiday Bazaar, happening this Saturday. I've also included a punch, a stamp set, cardstock and ink, plus some gift certificates….so if you're in Burlington and stop by, please bid on the basket!!
Oh, and shameless additional plug here – don't forget the other sweet treat in the form of a Stampin' Up! starter kit – start your business off on the best foot by getting the business and crafting supplies you'll need for HALF price!! More information here and contact me to sign up online!
If you've been "sitting on the fence" about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator…this may help you decide?! Starting November 15th and running only until November 30th, you can start your own Stampin' Up! business for just $107.50! That price includes all the business and creative supplies you'll need to get you started! You have two choices – the digital starter kit (which includes My Digital Studio software) or the standard starter kit. Contact me for more information so you can be prepared when the promotion starts on Monday!
When I'm not stamping, scrapbooking, running or doing those other things like working and taking care of my family & home….LOL…. I sing with a choir. In honour of Remembrance Day, here's some songs that we performed at a concert a few years ago – www.kokorosingers.com – click on MUSIC to hear the tracks. Lest we forget.
There's more digital downloads available – some are holiday themed, some are more general, including great ribbons and bows! Click here to see the latest downloads, available for My Digital Studio and in compatible software format as well (usually .png). You could use these new downloads to create something to submit for the My Digital Studio contest, too!
I'm doing another Christmas Card Clinic tonight – this time, though, it's in Marianne's home and she's asked for a Stamp-a-Stack format for herself and a group of her friends! If you're interested in hosting a stamp class for you and your friends, contact me for available dates.
Happy Digital Scrapbooking Day! In honour, I'm sharing this cute project from Stampin' Up!, created in My Digital Studio. One of the things I love about digital crafting is that it's so easy to make sure things are precisely lined up – so grid layouts like this are a snap. Even easier since it used a template… Click here for details.
Contact me for details on the My Digital Studio software – I'm certified!!! (as in a certified My Digital Studio software Demonstrator…why? What were you thinking?!) LOL.
Also a reminder that we are "Falling Back" tonight – turning back the clocks to gain that extra hour. After today's fun workshop at Carolanne's (thanks, Carolanne!), I will be prepping for Stampers & Scrappers Club on Monday and a Christmas Card Clinic Stamp a Stack hosted by Marianne for her friends on Wednesday! So I think I'll be using some of that extra time to prep, and then catch some zzzzzzs. How will you spend that time?!
This is part of my Silent Auction donation for Tansley United Church here in Burlington. The church bazaar is this Saturday and features a silent auction (amongst the regular bazaar items and *yum* food). I've donated a couple of stamp sets, a free class for six and a Tags Til Christmas bundle (stamp set and ornament punch)…. however the bundle is still en route because I wasn't on the ball!! So for now, there's a certificate for that in the little box. November has snuck up on me…despite having to set up a class and Christmas card clinic weeks and months in advance.
Anyway, if you're in the Burlington area, I hope that you'll be able to stop by the Tansley United Church bazaar and bid on this cute little bundle. Remember, good things come in small packages. I stand by that.
New downloads for My Digital Studio are now available – including the Designer Label punch and Tags 'Til Christmas and a huge Christmas Cheer digital kit – just in time for your holiday crafting! Downloads are available for My Digital Studio as well as files compatible with other digital photo editing programs. No backorders for digital downloads, and no shipping fees, either! Click here to see these newest downloads and shop instantly. Contact me if you have any questions.
OK, if you read my post about running a few days ago….I'll let you know now (so this makes me accountable LOL) – I've signed up for the 30km Around the Bay race in March. I am reserving judgment on my sanity at this point…but I figured that I might as well sign up and set a goal. Better to try than to not try at all and always wonder, right? (and hey, I figure if I sign up and don't complete it this time…there's always next time…).
So…with that being official, I'm off to do a little exercise shortly!!!!
