Guess what was delivered to me today? Stampin' Up!'s new digital project program! You can create digital scrapbook layouts, photo books, cards, dvds…
I just had to sit down and play with it for a little while. Here's my first layout to share – a quickie – used a template, dropped in the photos (able to crop them in place) added in abackground, text and a "stamp" (the words 'sunny days') and here it is! In all honesty, it took me less than half an hour, most of it spent making decisions on what colours to use and which accessories! (In the end, I obviously didn't use that many accessories lol).
My first impressions – I find it easy to use. If you have used Photoshop products, it will feel familiarto you. If you haven't used Photoshop products, My Digital Studio is very user friendly & there are guides & tips all along the way. You can use Stampin' Up! images, and embellishments to digitally enhance your digital photos. Don't just let those photos sit in your computer – share them!! My Digital Studio is available to my Stampin' Up! customers on October 1st. Contact me for more information or to reserve your copy!!
In celebration of World Card Making Day, Saturday October 3rd, I will be holding a Stamp a Stack in Hamilton, Ontario. What's a Stamp a Stack? Quite simply, you come & stamp a stack of cards… and of course there will be displays, prizes and light snacks. We're still ironing out the final details but I wanted to give you a heads up. Saturday October 3rd at Emmanuel United Church on Upper Ottawa Street in Hamilton. Be on my mailing list (see the box at top left of the blog) to get more details in your inbox. I'll also post finalized details here at yamstamps.com

(Demonstrators can order their copy as of today….guess what I did this morning?! lol)

I'm off to a friend's demonstrator group get together today. I'm always grateful that Mo has included me in her group – since my original group is in British Columbia. Now that I'm living in Ontario, it's a bit far to go for get togethers.
We're doing a shoebox swap, so we each come up with a prototype card and supplies for each person to recreate it.
This was the first version of my card, using the Stampin' Up! set, Very Thankful. It's the Ronald McDonald House charity set – for each set sold, Stampin' Up! donates $2 to the RMHC.
I liked the card, but felt it was a bit blah. I asked my friend Sue (my original group leader!) to give me some input, so I amended it…
That, and some better editing of the photo lets the card "pop" a bit more, don't you think?
I added a layer of Melon Mambo onto the Rich Razzleberry card base. It's still a clean, simple design, but more substantial. (At least that's what I think!!).
In order to get the design and sentiment separate, I actually cut the rubber of the stamp before mounting it onto the wood. I like the ability to "custom mount" as I see fit!
I've mounted the images on one side. The label shows what's on the other side of the block…
This way, I can use just the images or just the sentiment…
I'm looking forward to getting together with _my_ group of demonstrators in September. If you'd like to be there, please take advantage of the current starter kit specials – which end on MONDAY. See here for more details & to get your starter kit….the password is ehteam. Please contact me if you have any questions.
I’m working on the September edition of “Linda’s Link”, my e-newsletter. Are you on my mailing list? Sign up through the sign up box in the top left corner!

I don't think I ever posted these pics of door hangers that I did for the Crafting with Kids (which morphed into "Manly Crafting") on CH Morning Live last month. I used the Circle Scissors Plus to cut the hole for the door knob.
