113732: Central Park 113688: Wonderful Watercolors
These two stamp sets have been taken OFF the Last Chance List and will now appear on the Dormant List as of July 1st – in other words, they won't be featured in the new Idea Book & Catalogue, but you'll still be able to order them.
Have you booked your new catalogue party yet? Contact me to reserve a date for the summer time!
I'm getting ready for Saturday's Silent Auction at Sam's Day (oh and bowling, too) – in the meantime, here's a video on Window Sheets for your viewing pleasure. They're available in the Occasions mini catalogue and I have my fingers crossed that they'll appear in the "regular" big Idea Book & Catalogue coming out on July 1st. (Have you reserved your copy with me yet? If not – click here to do so!!)
You can purchase the Window Sheets on my Stampin' Up! website with the following item numbers:
Clear Window Sheets Medium Weight (7 mm) 114323, $7.25
This is the almost finished silent auction basket of Stampin' Up! goodies that I'm putting together for Sam's Day. I've already added a bit more to it, and will include a certificate for a free class for 6 plus a merchandise certificate. Once again, it's for a good cause – raising funds for neuroblastoma research at Toronto Sick Kids Hospital. In previous years, Sam's Day has been a carnival-type event, with lots of activities and performances. This year, it's Rock & Bowl, along with other activities and performances, plus the silent auction. If you want to read more about Sam's Day and the amazing job that the Lack family & friends continue to do, check out the website – www.samsday.org
If you're attending Sam's Day, I hope that you'll put in a good bid for this basket! (if you're not and you want to bid on this basket….let me know and I can put in a proxy bid for you!!! Open offer to those in the Burlington ON & surrounding area)
The following stamp sets have been removed from the Last Chance stamp list and will be available for purchase from the dormant list during the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog sales period.
(all require Adobe Reader). In the post below is the list of the Last Chance Accessories. I've also put it into a separate "page" on the blog here, and will keep this up to date as Stampin' Up! lets us know about availability. Remember that all accessories are while supplies last or until June 30th, whichever comes first! Stamp sets are available until June 30th. Click here to place your online order (click on shop now) and avoid missing out on these items!
If you're subscribed to my newsletter, hopefully you'll already be busy "making your list and checking it twice…"
Stampin' Up!'s "Last Chance List" (aka the Retired List) is going to be published on June 1st. Here's your chance to WIN – I'm having a contest!! Make a list of 10 stamp sets you believe will be on the list. Do not include mini catalogue sets nor hostess sets. Then…make sure you're signed up for my newsletter (see the box at the top left of the blog); email me your list and cross your fingers! Winner will be announced in an email sent to my subscribers on Monday June 1 (along with the Last Chance List). In the case of a tie, one name will be drawn. The winner receives a certificate for $30 good through me (so sorry, only Canadians are eligible). If the winner gets all 10 of their items correct, I will increase the certificate to $40!! But wait, there's more! Just for sending an entry, you'll receive a $5 certificate that you can apply to any purchase of $50 or more in July (aka New Catalogue merchandise!).
If you have any questions, please feel to contact me! Your entry must be received by midnight THIS FRIDAY, May 29th.
One of these patterned papers is not like the other….remember that Sesame Street song?! This is a 2 page layout from my Stampers & Scrappers Club. The left page features the designer series paper (DSP for short) Urban Oasis; the right page does NOT. Yes, I know they look the same (essentially)… (You can click on the image for a larger view).
This particular DSP has lovely large images, but I wasn't sure if they'd work well for the die cut letters (too much white space showing)…so we made our own! This also is a way to stretch out your DSP stash… I used the stamp set Fifth Avenue Floral (which coordinates with this DSP) and the exact ink colours from the paper – basic grey, kiwi kiss and baja breeze. We stamped all over some 12 x 12 white cardstock to create our own patterned paper for the second page of this layout! We used strips along the borders, and then glued some to a piece of On Board Book Basics and ran it through the Big Shot with the Serif Essentials Alphabet. The decorative oval accent on the journal block is actually the centre of the letter "O"! (I'll have to repost that on Friday so it's an "official" Frugal Friday Tip lol).
Don't forget the National Scrapbooking Month Specials being offered by Stampin' Up! Just a few days left…see my May 1st blog post about them, or click here to see the details and place an online order!
Interested in doing some regular cardmaking or scrapbooking? One of the best ways you ensure some "me" time is to put it on your schedule – why not join my Stampers & Scrappers Club?! New session starts in September. Members meet monthly for a free club only class (four cards or a 2 page 12 x 12 layout), place a minimum order and take turns receiving the hostess benefits for club orders! Contact me for details or to reserve your spot.
On June 1st Stampin' Up! will start announcing their retiring items from the current Idea Book and Catalogue. While we don't know for sure what will be on the Last Chance List, one thing is always CERTAIN – we know for sure the the lovely In-Colours for the 2008-09 year will be replaced with fresh new colours. If you really love these colours, it's best to stock up on cardstock etc. NOW. I strongly recommend that if you have an ink pad, you purchase the coodinating reinker (if you haven't already!). That way, you can continue stamping in these lovely colours for a looooong time to come.
(Sample from Stampin' Up! demonstrator only website, by Jill Olsen featuring the set WOW flowers and the In Colours pacific point, tangerine tango andd kiwi kiss)
WOW…we have a lot of beautiful accents in those colours!!! I highly recommend you order any of the above items you may have been thinking about before the retirement list is announced on June 1st, because we know they are going to go quickly. Click here to place an online order (click on "shop now") or contact me directly.
Although I do know of golfers who claim that golf is a year-round sport… Personally, I have always been a bit of a fair-weather golfer.
This card features the "And Many Mower" Stampin' Up! set. I chose to use the golfer image rather than the lawn mower…lol. A touch of Manchester designer series paper helped me to figure out the colour scheme for the card and adds a decorate touch. The image was coloured with stampin' write markers on very vanilla cardstock.
Have trouble coming up with masculine cards? Don't think the males in your life would always appreciate cards or scrapbook projects with flowers or butterflies? Come to the "For the Boys" class – Wednesday June 3rd, 7pm, here in Burlington ON. RSVP required, cost is $15 and includes all supplies and envelopes for 4 masculine-themed cards. You can use the handy paypal link or contact me directly; I'll give you directions when you register. See you then!
