I hope you're enjoying the swap samples I'm sharing….this is created by Andrea – a traditional red & green Christmas card! It uses the Stampin' Up! sets Christ Is Born and Canvas. She's accented it with gold brads, linen thread and riding hood red taffeta ribbon. In my opinion, you can never go wrong with heat embossing at the holidays!! Gold embossing powder on the sentiment makes it stand out, and the poinsettia is cut out and mounted on the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Another lovely sample!

This wonderful card was created by Tacye out in BC. It's a fantastic use of the Top Note, here in riding hood red. She's used the scallop edge punch on whisper white cardstock and wrapped it with riding hood red grosgrain. The main image is from the hostess level one set Punches Three, this stamp coordinating with the scallop square punch. The monochromatic theme of this card makes it clean & classy.
Tomorrow will bring another sample for you…plus another week of the 12 weeks of Christmas in your inbox if you've subscribed to my email newsletter!

These are two of the snowflakes from Stampin' Up!'s die cut chipboard set On Board Something Seasonal. They're made of high quality acid-free chipboard and are very easy to pop out of the board. I was trying to decide which method to use to decorate the chipboard for the next Scrappers Club. So here's the "naked" chipboard.
Here are the decorated snowflakes. I used white craft ink on both of them. I placed the snowflakes face down into the craft ink pad to coat them to get good coverage. Then, I used iridescent ice embossing powder (EP) on the left snowflake – coated with the powder & heated until it melted. The snowflake on the right was coated with heat & stick powder, melted with the heat gun, then coated with dazzling diamonds glitter & re-heated to "set". The EP snowflake is a little more subtle and glossy, the heat & stick/glitter snowflake a bit more sparkly and showy. You can click on the photo for a slightly larger view.
Thought I'd share this side by side comparison in case you were wondering which treatment to use on your chipboard. The Country Living Holiday Collection Chipboard shapes can also be treated in this manner. I used the heat & stick powder because I'm not great with glue…I'm a bit of a messy gluer (it ends up everywhere) so I personally find the heat & stick a bit more "neat".

This sample is on my located on my demonstrator business website but I wanted to post it here as well to remind you all of the Rub-Ons promotion that's on until the end of the month! With your $20 merchandise order, you receive 20% off any rub-ons order!
This cute Christmas card uses both the Old St Nick rub ons (the sentiment) and the Season of Cheer rub ons (the snowflake). No stamping on this card *gasp*!! There's a strip of the Ski Slope Designer Series paper along the bottom, plus some of the great Alpine ribbon and silver elastic cord. The scallop in behind the circles is actually from the Big Shot Pennant Die – there's 2 sizes of pennants plus a number of scalloped circles on it that you can use as elements on cards or scrapbook pages, or turn into a 3D ornament.

This card was created by Christina, my roomie from Stampin' Up! Leadership Convention in Palm Springs this past January. We had a great time sight seeing, shopping and oh yes, attending some great classes and creating some great samples! I enjoy meeting up with friends from across the country and continent at Stampin' Up! events – Christina's in Manitoba so it was nice to be able to spend some time with her.
Anyway – Christina's used the Top Note Die to highlight the tree image from Snow Swirled (it's a popular holiday stamp set, judging by the number of swap samples I received with images from it!). The tree and sentiment are embossed in silver, with sponged ink highlighting the tree and distressed edges of cardstock. It looks like Christina's pried apart a rhinestone brad (one of the Circle Ice brads) to place a "star" at the top of the tree – a sparkly touch to finish off the card!

Today's card uses more traditional hues of red & green – handsome hunter and real red. Carmen's swap card uses another Holiday Mini stamp set – A Cardinal Christmas. The Sanded background stamp is used on the vanilla cardstock in the background. She's coloured in the cardinal and then added a styled silver ribbon slide from the Hodgepodge Hardware. There's glitter in the slide to add a bit more "bling". You might not be able to see the crystal effects added to add a bit of glisten to the berries and the bird's eye.
One of the key benefits to taking part in a demonstrator card swap is getting samples with stamp sets that I don't personally own – thanks to Tracey, though, I can share this inspiration with you all!

I'm sharing more swap cards – the next few days will bring some more "traditional" Christmas colours. Today's sample is red and green, but the hues make it not quite the traditional Christmas palette.
This sample is created by Tracey Falconer and uses two of Stampin' Up!'s current In Colours – Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss. The set is Scandinavian Season – available in the current Holiday Mini Catalogue. She's swiped the edges of the designer series papers (also in Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss) and white cardstock with ink to give a distressed look to the card. A Filigree Designer Brad adorns the image, and silver brads help hold the ribbon in place.
Tomorrow will bring another red and green sample for your viewing pleasure! Thanks to my fellow swap-ees for their generosity in allowing me to share their works of art with you!!

This is another great swap sample that I can share with you all! I must admit that I could "see" something with this concept but couldn't make it come to life…thankfully, my convention roomie Beth (brave girl lol) managed to do so!! I love the extra details, like the cut out leaf & flower, and the red button. Season of Friendship is one of the stamp sets available in Stampin' Up!'s holiday mini catalogue, and is one of those sets that could be multi-seasonal or multi-occasional! Another beautiful job. I am slowly working my way through the pile of swap cards, taking pictures etc but I must remember next time to rename the file as soon as I upload it to my computer…trying to match up the image to the actual card (which has the creator's name on it…) has been proving a bit of a challenge in the disorganized space that I call my office. (another job on my list to do – clear out the office….*sigh*).
Until tomorrow….
