Woot! I can show you a Christmas card that's not based in blue… this is also from the demonstrator swap, and again features a member of my downline (we're called The "Eh" Team…am I dating myself by that name?!). Carol, another stamper from the Sunshine Coast in BC is responsible for this beauty! The skaters are cut out in detail (that should have been your first clue that I wasn't responsible for this card…lol) and popped up, as is the sentiment. The skaters are skating along an icy river, represented by the microbeads. The stamp set is from Stampin' Up!'s Holiday mini catalogue – Winter Post, and the sentiment is from Elegant Cheer (in the main catalogue).
Hope you're enjoying these ideas – I still have more to share with you, so check back soon!

Here's another swap card I received – this one is from someone in MY downline. Pammila's on the Sunshine Coast in BC – this is her creation for the swap – love the shaving cream background on the top note die, and the glitter on the dots on the star. The greeting is from Snow Swirled, the other stamps are from Spotlight on Christmas – one of those sets that I overlooked at first, I must admit…but the more I see samples with it, the more I think it should be on my next order!!!

Newsletter subscribers had the heads up on this one – is this not the CUTEST card holder?!
My next themed class will be Punch Pals – Wednesday November 26 at 7 pm here in Burlington. We'll make this card holder plus six coordinating cards. I can see this being a great gift….or sending out the cards and keeping the card holder to hold the holiday cards & photos that will come in the mail to me! Class fee is $25 and includes all supplies.
Can't make it the evening of the class? Class to go kit is also $25 (plus postage if applicable), includes precut cardstocks & embellishments plus full instructions. You will need to supply the stamp set, inks & adhesive; in addition, this class uses a number of punches. If you're interested in the class to go option, please email me and we can work out what additional supplies you might need.
In the meantime, I'm cleaning up from the first Christmas Card Clinic and getting ready for the next one! Perhaps I'll get all the glittery bits out of the dining room by next year…..lol…..in the meantime, I think it adds to the festive look!!

I recently participated in a card swap with other demonstrators from across the country. My upline (the demonstrator with whom I signed up for Stampin' Up!), Sue Farrant organized the swap for the demonstrators in her group. This was one of her card samples, using the Snow Swirled set. I love the glitz of this card – and the non-traditional colours. A flower designer brad is used as the "star" – and can you see the glitter that is adhered in the brad to add a little colour & bling? Glitter on the stars on the tree complete the look.
Do you ever wonder where demonstrators get ideas for cards & scrapbook pages? Demonstrator swaps are a great method for me to get new ideas & inspiration that I can share with you!!

Here's a change from the blue holiday cards I've been showing a penchant for of late… This is a tri-fold card featuring the Say It With Scallops set. Stampin' Up! donates two dollars to Ronald McDonald House Charities for every set sold.
The For You is stamped in pink passion onto whisper white cardstock, then punched out with the scallop square punch – it's a negative image stamp. Mounted onto a strip of apricot appeal, and onto a card of certainly celery. The Illuminated wheel adds to the card base. The felt flowers from Flower Fusion are decorated by gold brads. The scallop edge punch coordinates with the scallop square punch.
This card fits into a Stampin' Up! medium envelope since the dimensions of the unfolded card are 4.25" x 11".
I've been challenged to see if I can do daily blog posts, so expect a bit more activity from me! Be sure to check back here at www.yamstamps.com or sign up for the feed to keep up to date!

This was my most recent 12 weeks of Christmas sample – but I couldn't resist sharing it here.
Many people choose the holidays as a time to send out family photos – here's a way to combine a photo with a handmade card (they're not mutually exclusive!). I used the Big Shot Top Note Bigz die to cut the Ski Slope Designer Series Paper. I saved the middle portion to use on other projects (alternatively, you could use it on the inside portion of the card!). I used the leftover piece as a frame, and highlighted it with the words Peace and Joy from the Join the Cheer Big Shot Die. My paper snips came in handy to separate out the words I wanted. (the words on the die are Peace, Joy, Love, Cheer).
This design is not exclusively for the holidays – it could be used to send a photo greeting at any time of year! Change out the designer series paper, or use cardstock and stamps, snip out different words from the strip – imagine the possibilities!
There's still time to be included in the Twelve Weeks of Christmas – sign up for my email newsletter to see what week six holds!

and one more option!
This is another version of the Season of Simple Grace card that I created for Marianne's workshop the other evening. If you're interested in having this as your holiday card, I am offering it as another option for the Christmas Card clinic. Today is the last day to register, so if you're looking for a way to get a whack of Christmas Cards made, please contact me! Cost is $25 for 10 cards, $2.50 for each additional. Check out the Card Clinic photo album for the other options.
