Stampin’ Up!’s Hearth and Home Thinlits Dies make a fun combination with the Happy Scenes set (discounted in a bundle!) – and you can match the scene to the season! This scene was coloured with Stampin’ Write markers and a wash with the aquapainters in the sky & ground, but I was a little too delicate with my background colouring so it’s a bit washed out here, but the leaves (and wind!) match the scene outside my window today. (oh, and Room With a View is one of my favourite films ever, so I love that I can use that in a blog post title!)

I signed up for Paper Pumpkin after I realized I also subscribed to a similar thing for makeup (Ipsy), which I started just as a fun treat for myself. Happy World Cardmaking Day! I’m happy to announce that Merry & Bright Online Card Class is now available! This class features four holiday cards that use the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper and White Perfect Accents on each card, with a variety of stamps and inks to make each project unique. This is the online version of the Merry & Bright Class that was held in August in Burlington – so if you weren’t able to attend in person, you can see it online! You’ll get a list of supplies, written instructions and a total of four videos showing the creation of each card. I’m sharing this card that I am NOT planning on sharing on TV today, since we know how that goes for me in general….I plan a blog post with a project that I’m intending to show on air, and somehow run out of time or forget to show it during the segment….so I’m not even going to try with this one! This was made with the Stampin’ Up! set You’ve Got This and stamped with the new format Archival Basic Black ink which gives a great, sharp imprint, and withstood watercolouring with an Aquapainter.

First of all, Happy Long Weekend! I hope that you’ve been able to spend some time relaxing with friends and family. While I have had downtime with my family, at the same time, I’ve been working away at clearing out my craft room. It’s been long overdue. As I was going through items (a lot of which were in boxes), I realized that a number of these boxes were actually from when I moved house (a year ago….ahem). I think I unpacked the crucial items that I needed right away and a lot of things were left to “deal with later”. I found some tools and items that I had been wondering where they had gone….(Stamp-a-ma-jig sheets for example…) and am now working at putting things into proper homes. The upside is that I’m looking forward to eventually having an even more clear space to work in and a dedicated space for videos. Right now, I’ve been clearing off my working surface, shooting videos and then re-cluttering the surface as I worked on more projects, then repeating the process (which also might explain the slowness in producing videos of late?!).

The good news is that I’m making progress. The not so good news is that it’s going to take a little longer than I thought it would! LOL. However, the other good news is that I’ve found a LOT of items that I am able to include in my BOOKING BASKET. If you received my September newsletter, you might have noticed that I’m offering a BONUS for booking an in home cardmaking class in the next couple of months. Book a date before the end of October and you get a free pick at the basket. Well, right now, it’s actually a bin, there’s so much stuff.
