It’s coming up to Digital Scrapbooking Day (I know, perhaps another one of those “days” that you didn’t know about…aren’t you glad you read this blog?!) and Stampin’ Up! wants to celebrate as well – but of course, one day won’t be enough! Digital Scrapbooking Days means lots of deals. There are daily deals (see below) plus of course the MDS Seasonal Sale….lots of ways to save. I’ve linked the sales items, but please note that the sales price will only appear/be valid on that day.
Digital crafting is fantastic for bulk producing items (Hello, Christmas Cards, anyone?!) and for accessing retired stamp sets or Designer Series Papers or kits – if there’s a digital version of it, you’ll never run out *sigh* All Stampin’ Up! digital downloads can be used in Mac or Windows, and in MDS or another photo editing program that can manage .png files. Newer MDS files also feature .svg cutting files to use with your digital cutting machine. (I think that should justify my next crafting purchase, don’t you??!! I always have mixed feelings about these free digital downloads. YAY they’re free and YAY they’re pretty….but it also means that time is passing by and the year is (*gasp*) drawing to a close! (and if you don’t believe me, then you obviously aren’t subscribed to my newsletters and receiving the 12 Weeks of Christmas emails….LOL).

Did you know that every Tuesday, Stampin’ Up! releases new digital downloads for use in MDS or other photo editing software? Today is no exception – and because it’s also the last Tuesday of the month (eek!), the latest FREE download is here – the October desktop wallpaper! If you’re into astrology, you’ll want to grab the Starlight October kit used for this calendar, but it also contains sentiments pertaining to astrology and astronomy, including “Love you to the moon and back” (any other moms out there get a bit teary at that one??!!). Think I might have to get the kit just for that saying alone. Other downloads include the Christmas Banner Simply Created Kit – which has some realistic/3D images that I love. If you need to see these in real life, consider signing up for my Christmas Banner class – you’ll get one of these real kits to help you create your festive banner! It’s that time again! Stampin’ Up! has released the next free digital desktop calendar – this one features the Old School September Digital kit. The kit itself has 33 digital brushes, 12 Designer Series Papers and 14 embellishments in a retro styling for Back to School!
Every Tuesday is digital release day, and here are all the releases for August 27th. The other bonus with digital items – no shipping costs and instant gratification – download it right away and get started on projects, in MDS or in other photo editing software (like Photoshop). Don’t forget that you can do a free trial of MDS as well (though the $24.95 sticker price makes it fairly accessible!).

Remember this page? I had promised you a tutorial on how to do the photo technique at the top of this page – here it is – the video tutorial I’d promised you about how to spread one photo across a number of photo blocks in MDS. This is a fun and EASY technique to add a little twist to your photo pages. Time to get those digital photos onto a digital page and share online – or print it out and share with your friends and family!
