Wishing you all the best for 2023 – let’s Celebrate You this year!
Happy New Year! I hope that it brings good things for all of us. I also hope that you had time to enjoy the holiday season! I was fortunate enough to have some time off from my “other” job after Christmas so I was able to relax a bit, and also was able to see extended family – some of whom I hadn’t seen in person for a few years!!!
As I write this though, I’m trying to gear myself up to get going again – but it’s hard since every day has felt like a Sunday for the past week!! It’s not a bad thing, but it’s definitely disorienting, and I have trouble knowing the day/date on a regular basis anyway…
I had the luxury of time to be able to do things like…clean up my office (long overdue, and how many pens do I actually have??!!!) though it’s already starting to get a little messy again. I did also do a bit of craft room clean up, but honestly, it’s a bit overwhelming sometimes so I do a bit, and then make some cards and make a mess again….LOL. However I did get some things done there – like these “Celebrate You” Cards!
These are some cards that I bulk produced over the break – for members of my Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator group known as the “Eh” Team! I did a bit of “catch up” over my break and sent out my “Eh” Team Rewards inside these cards. (If you want to find out more about joining my group of demonstrators, you can check out the information at yamstamps.com/join or message me). I definitely wanted to send a “celebrate you” message to them at the start of the year!
This celebrate you sentiment is great – and it’s made by combining partial sentiments in the stamp set Sentimental Park that’s in the January-April Mini Catalogue. I used Coastal Cabana and Fresh Freesia ink (pulled from the Designer Series Paper colours). This card’s colour scheme just makes me happy – I’m a blues/greens kind of girl, so this is my colour palette! The patterned paper is the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper that is available as a Sale-a-Bration freebie – you can select it for free with a $120 CAD product order. Both the Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-Bration are in effect as of THURSDAY, 5 JANUARY 2023. I put it in caps because I want to highlight that it’s not yet available. Just a few more days! (I’ll come back and update this post with links once the catalogues are live).
I love clean and simple designs, and this is definitely in that category, but I think because of the busy paper and details on the stamped sentiment, it distracts you from the fact that the design is quite straightforward. Not that there’s anything wrong with straightforward designs! They are my go-to! I like having a pattern that I know works, and then I can just change it up with whatever I have on hand for whatever occasion! I like my crafting to be easy and effective.
Something’s Coming…
If having a blueprint for your crafting is something that sounds helpful for you, you’ll want to check back on Wednesday – or better yet, be on my mailing list, because I’ll be sharing details for a new program I’m offering – designed to make your crafting easier and more fun. No More Crafting Brain Strain!!
In the meantime, I’m off to see if I can find a clear tabletop area in my craft room to come up with a few more cards that I will need in the next little while…
Wishing you all the best for 2022. I hope that you were able to connect with family and friends over the holiday season, despite all the challenges and changing rules we faced here in Ontario.
So here’s some news to cheer you up! Stampin’ Up!’s latest Mini Catalogues are now active! To be truthful, though, there’s nothing “mini” about the January-June 2022 Mini Catalogue. It’s full of new products to spark your creativity – and as a bonus, it’s also Sale-a-Bration!
The Sale-a-Bration Mini Catalogue houses all the free options you can select with qualifying orders until the end of February. For each $60 product ordered (in a single order, before taxes/shipping), you’ll be able to select a Level 1 Sale-a-Bration product for free. If you order $120 product, you can either select two Level 1 products or one Level 2 product that’s only available at the $120 level. There’s no limit to how many items you can earn!
A lot of the Sale-a-Bration items coordinate with products in the January-June 2022 or Annual Catalogues – like the fun Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper pack – one of my favourites, which ties in with the Rainbow of Happiness Bundle from the J-J Mini Catalogue. Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators have had a month to check out the new products before they went “live” today (one of the perks of being a demo!). I’m on my second pack of these papers already…because who couldn’t use a bit of sunshine & rainbows in their life, especially right now?!
Woohoo! There’s a new Mini Catalogue available today PLUS it’s Sale-a-Bration again!
First things first….the July-December Mini Catalogue is live! No, you didn’t miss anything – this catalogue’s start date was pushed back for a month. Stampin’ Up! made the decision to delay the start to allow for product and shipping slow downs due to that global pandemic that is ongoing… You can check out the digital version of the July-December Mini Catalogue here; shortcut is https://yamstamps.com/jd21 Despite best planning, there are still a few items that are not yet in the SU warehouses – the Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories & More Card Pack and Cards & Envelopes, and the Blackberry Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper. This impacts their associated Suites – you know, the “Easy” button that uses one code to get all the products in one suite. For the time being, you won’t be able to order the Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite, nor the Blackberry Beauty Suite. You WILL be able to order the other items in the suite without issue, though, it just means a lot more typing! LOL. (Or message me with your order, and I will do all the entering for you!!).
Next up…it’s time to Sale-a-Brate again! It’s the Summer Sequel! August 3 – September 30, when you place a $60CAD product order (before shipping/taxes), you’ll get to pick a free Sale-a-Bration item! There’s a couple of items that are available at the $120CAD level too. There’s a few items that won’t go on back order – when they’re gone, they’re gone. These are the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper, Sheep Dies and Summer Shadows Dies – so if these have caught your eye, be sure to redeem for these ASAP. You can see the digital version of the Sale-a-Bration Catalogue here – shortcut is https://yamstamps.com/summerSAB21
As always, the shortcut to shop is https://yamstamps.com/shop from anywhere in Canada. If you need assistance placing an order, want to pay for your order with an etransfer, or want more information about becoming a demonstrator with my group, you can email me and I’d be glad to help. In the meantime – Happy Sale-a-Bration!
From now until 28 February, you will earn free product with qualifying purchases! Take a look at the Sale-a-Bration Catalogue (Canadian English) (Canadian French) to see what you can select. Colour Families (Regals, Brights, Neutrals and Subtles) plus the 2020-2022 In Colours! You can check out my info page/FAQ on becoming part of my Stampin’ Up! New Products Available Today!
Basic White Cardstock products are now available to order! Thankfully Stampin’ Up! was able to source a new producer for White Cardstock without too much delay in availability – so no need to panic. I’m looking forward to trying some out so will be placing an order soon!
Also…the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine is now available to order! This mini machine is good for smaller die cuts and great for those with space issues or who want portable crafting tools.
*phew* that’s a lot in one day, right? To top it off, the World Junior Hockey Championship game is set to start shortly, so I think I finished this post just in time – GO CANADA GO! Oh – and message me if you have any questions or need assistance placing an order! I’m able to multitask. A little bit at least. (or during the commercial breaks! LOL).
One of the things I love about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is the chance to get a head start on crafting with new products. Demonstrators were able to preorder from the August-December Mini Catalogue last month, so I’ve been able to create some projects to have ready to go this month. Here’s a pink and grey banners card with some new product – slightly different shade of pink than this pink & grey card that I made a little while back.
Stampin’ Up! has a number of punches that are designed to work with varying widths of cardstock. In all honesty, I can’t count on remembering what those widths are when I’m in the midst of creating something – so I’ve gotten into the habit of labelling those punches like in the photo below.
The Banners Pick a Punch will work on 0.5, 0.75 and 1 inch widths, so I labelled the top of the punch with those measurements. Makes my crafting quicker and easier! (Plus it makes me look organized…which is not always the case in reality haha). For the pink and grey banners card, I used a 0.5″ wide strip of Petal Pink Cardstock and 1″ wide strips of Designer Series Paper.
Have you checked out the new Stampin’ Up! site and store lately? The shortcut to shop online with me in Canada is still yamstamps.com/shop – and exciting – the new store supports online shopping if you’re living in Quebec!! If you’re a returning customer, you’ll have to enter your password the first time you go shopping, since your browser will not recognize the site since it’s been overhauled. If you can’t remember your password, you can always hit the password reset button (and then be sure to check your spam folder just in case – so you don’t miss the email!). If you have any questions or need assistance placing an order, you can always contact me.
