Last Chance!! Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-Bration ends TODAY.
This card features the Sale-a-Bration set Botanical Blooms and the In Colours Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point and Baja Breeze. I love two step stamping with the same colour ink because it's EASY and I don't have to think too hard… The solid image is inked up, then stamped on a scrap piece of paper before being stamped on cardstock – a "second generation" image. The outline image is stamped straight onto the cardstock – a "first generation" image. This way, the outline shows clearly over the slightly lighter coloured solid image but the colours coordinate perfectly. This stamp set also has gradations in the image itself, which adds another level of colour too!
Sale-a-Bration ends today, but that doesn't mean that there's nothing exciting coming up in April…I promise! There's a new special (watch here for more details) plus don't forget STAMPIN' SATURDAY from noon til 3 pm on the 18th of April here in Burlington ON – $25 if you register by April 4th – we'll be doing a mini stamp a stack plus creating two 3D projects! Contact me for more information or to reserve your spot!

This card is from a recent swap that I participated in. Stampin' Up! demonstrators in our group across Canada created cards to share with one another – this is by Beth Klippenstein using the stamp set A Kind Word. I love the colours and the eyelet border punch – a new favourite! I also love how Beth used coordinating designer series paper, cardstock and colouring media (the main one being Perfect Plum). Always nice to easily match Stampin' Up! colours. Here's hoping we'll all be swinging in bare feet soon!
I sent out my mid month email newsletter this past week – did you get your copy? Don't miss out – be sure to sign up – see the box at the top left. Non-Canadians are welcome to sign up, but please realize that any specials or pricing applies to Canadians only as per Stampin' Up! regulations. Don't forget that Sale-a-Bration ends March 31st!

Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-Bration is on now – with every qualifying purchase ($60 merchandise), you may select a SAB product for FREE! So far, this set has proven to be the most popular amongst my customers – Polka Dot Punches. Each of the stamps coordinates with a punch, making impressive cards and scrapbook pages a cinch!
Here, we used the heart stamp, heat embossed with gold embossing powder onto pink pirouette and baja breeze cardstocks, then punched out with the full heart punch. Mounted onto brushed gold metallic cardstock, backed with basic black cardstock and then onto a mellow moss card. The sentiment is from the Upsy Daisy set, again heat embossed in gold.
I'm looking forward to all my SAB workshops, and there's still space in the Crazy For Cupcakes class. Check out the classes page – there's now Paypal links to instantly pay and confirm your spot in the class! The personal touch reservation still applies, too – feel free to contact me by email or phone to save your spot!

This is a quick card I made using Stampin' Up!'s Love You Much bundle, on sale until the end of January. The card is Riding Hood Red; the image is on Very Vanilla and backed with Mellow Moss; the strip is from the Candy Lane Designer Series Paper. The image was stamped using stampin' write markers. There's no Riding Hood Red stampin' write marker, but you can create one temporarily by touching the tip of a blender pen to some Riding Hood Red ink refill. I cut out the "you much" and popped it up underneath the word, then added a few hearts punched with the Heart to Heart punch.
Need some Valentine's Day cards? Don't forget my "Love"ly Cards Class, Feb 4th – RSVP to reserve your spot!!

I was asked to help KC create wedding invitations….so we met, came up with a design and this past weekend, got together for a work party! Lots of work, but the invitations turned out wonderfully….just a bit more work and they will be done in plenty of time to be mailed out!
I'm behind the camera…otherwise I was cracking the whip LOL just kidding!!!
(oh, and the future mother in law somehow managed to avoid this photo op too….lol)
Samples of the hard work!
Lots of logos for the invites, programs, menus…..
A sneak peak of the invite…elegant!!
Thanks Diane for recommending me, and thanks for asking me to be part of the preparations, KC!!
Next up….I'm going to think up some designs for my friends Amber & Matt…*wink*

This is a pic of the Card Organizer Class Projects. If you're like me, January brings a time to start fresh and arm yourself with a list of resolutions. A perpetual place on my list has been granted to "Be More Organized"… hmm I guess that's not a good thing if the same item keeps showing up year after year?! lol. Anyway – after this class we'll all have a place to keep cards plus a list for all those dates to remember and a few cards ready to send out. Getting them into the mailbox may be another thing entirely….says she who is still sending out holiday greetings. ahem.
Don't procrastinate any longer! (another thing on my list) – register NOW for this class – deadline is Jan 7th, cost is $40, class date is Wednesday Jan 21st, 7pm. January 7th is also the first stamping class – featuring all occasion cards (which of course, will fit into your card organizer…).
Oh – and what do you think of the blog's new look? I decided to spiffy it up a bit. The photo is in my front yard, where one of the local bunnies took a shortcut! Feel free to leave comments below or send me feedback directly.
