I recently participated in a card swap with other demonstrators from across the country. My upline (the demonstrator with whom I signed up for Stampin' Up!), Sue Farrant organized the swap for the demonstrators in her group. This was one of her card samples, using the Snow Swirled set. I love the glitz of this card – and the non-traditional colours. A flower designer brad is used as the "star" – and can you see the glitter that is adhered in the brad to add a little colour & bling? Glitter on the stars on the tree complete the look.
Do you ever wonder where demonstrators get ideas for cards & scrapbook pages? Demonstrator swaps are a great method for me to get new ideas & inspiration that I can share with you!!

Here's a change from the blue holiday cards I've been showing a penchant for of late… This is a tri-fold card featuring the Say It With Scallops set. Stampin' Up! donates two dollars to Ronald McDonald House Charities for every set sold.
The For You is stamped in pink passion onto whisper white cardstock, then punched out with the scallop square punch – it's a negative image stamp. Mounted onto a strip of apricot appeal, and onto a card of certainly celery. The Illuminated wheel adds to the card base. The felt flowers from Flower Fusion are decorated by gold brads. The scallop edge punch coordinates with the scallop square punch.
This card fits into a Stampin' Up! medium envelope since the dimensions of the unfolded card are 4.25" x 11".
I've been challenged to see if I can do daily blog posts, so expect a bit more activity from me! Be sure to check back here at www.yamstamps.com or sign up for the feed to keep up to date!
Nov 2, 2008 | Big Shot, rubber stamping
This was my most recent 12 weeks of Christmas sample – but I couldn't resist sharing it here.
Many people choose the holidays as a time to send out family photos – here's a way to combine a photo with a handmade card (they're not mutually exclusive!). I used the Big Shot Top Note Bigz die to cut the Ski Slope Designer Series Paper. I saved the middle portion to use on other projects (alternatively, you could use it on the inside portion of the card!). I used the leftover piece as a frame, and highlighted it with the words Peace and Joy from the Join the Cheer Big Shot Die. My paper snips came in handy to separate out the words I wanted. (the words on the die are Peace, Joy, Love, Cheer).
This design is not exclusively for the holidays – it could be used to send a photo greeting at any time of year! Change out the designer series paper, or use cardstock and stamps, snip out different words from the strip – imagine the possibilities!
There's still time to be included in the Twelve Weeks of Christmas – sign up for my email newsletter to see what week six holds!
