Feb 17, 2015 | specials, Stampin' Up!
I hope you had a good Family Day (if you’re here in Ontario!). We had a relaxing day around here, and I had the opportunity to be on The Night Side on NewsTalk 1010 Radio last evening! I was interviewed on turning Passion into Profit (around here known as “50 Shades of Cardstock” LOL). I will post a link to the audio file that they kindly sent to me. It was a fun experience. If you would like to know more about having your own Stampin’ Up! business, check out this page here or contact me for more information.
In the meantime – here are this week’s deals! Great buy on the Designer Series Paper! Click on this link or the image to see the items in the YamStamps Online Stampin’ Up! Canada store.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. In the meantime, happy shopping! (and if you’re in my neck of the woods – stay warm!!)
Feb 10, 2015 | specials, Stampin' Up!
Tada! Here are this week’s deals from Stampin’ Up! Canada at a glance. Click on the image or HERE to see all the specials in my online store. This week the specials include the From the Garden Photopolymer bundle which is a current item from the Occasions store. The Bundle is normally already discounted 15%, so you’re getting an EXTRA good deal here – but only until Feb 16th so don’t hesitate.
Seems like it might be a bit of a boring Tuesday around here this week…no TV appearances for me, no meeting lead singers of groups I’ve admired for years…*sigh* Might have to do some paper crafting to make myself feel better….
Feb 5, 2015 | specials, Stampin' Up!, TV/Video/Web/Tech
SO.
I usually post about Stampin’ Up! Canada’s Weekly Deals bright and early (ish) on Tuesdays when they come up. This week, the plan was no different. But then it was.
First of all, Alan Doyle, of the band Great Big Sea (and TV & movies…) tweeted about being on Morning Live. I tweeted about being there LAST Tuesday and that it was obvious that they didn’t want me fangirling on set. At one point, Alan Doyle responded to my tweet. That was exciting!
Then I got a message from the producer of Morning Live inviting me to come by the studio to MEET Alan Doyle! I did hesitate for a moment, but then I decided – what the heck – it’s a fun opportunity! After picking myself up off the floor, I ran around to get ready to go. I decided not to take my big DSLR camera (I’m already looking like a dork LOL), but then had to dig through my binder of CDs to grab something to get an autograph! Something to think about in this day and age of so much digital media – nothing to get autographs on! Once I got to the green room (which of course is NOT green), I am very proud to say that I did NOT squeal out loud, and in fact I think I looked rather calm and collected once I was there! He was lovely to chat with and very down to earth. It was a wonderful opportunity – so THANK YOU once again to Morning Live, Don, Annette, Bob, Carla and everyone associated with the show. Oh, and Alan Doyle for putting up with me. I did give him a hand stamped card too!

OK so, after all that preamble…here are the weekly deals. Click on the item links to see them in the YamStamps Stampin’ Up! Canada online store, or see all the deals here at a glance. Please contact me if you need help placing your order or have any questions.

Feb 1, 2015 | cards, Events, Sale-A-Bration, specials, Stampin' Up!
Sale-a-Bration is that great time of the Stampin’ Up! Canada year where your regular orders earn you FREE product. This Wednesday’s Monthly Card Class will be featuring Sale-a-Bration items – like this card here! The Lotus Blossom Stamp Set has proven to be the most popular choice in the first month of Sale-a-Bration amongst my customers, and I have to agree. I was first drawn to Stampin’ Up! because of Two Step Stamping. You stamp a partial image and then complete the image with another stamp. This allows you to have a stem and a flower that are two different colours, and gradation of colour and dimension in an image. In the Lotus Blossom case, it’s actually Three Step Stamping – the blossom has 3 different components combined to make a beautiful image. This card also uses the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper – another Sale-a-Bration exclusive item. I love that bokeh effect on the paper.
A reminder that registration is required 2 days in advance of any event (to allow me time to prepare all the supplies!) so if you’re interested in attending Wednesday’s class, please register by the end of Monday, February 2nd (once you’ve finished checking out what Wiarton Willie has to say about the weather).
Jan 27, 2015 | specials, Stampin' Up!, TV/Video/Web/Tech
Thanks to everyone at CH Morning Live for having me on as a guest once again. I managed to show one project…never mind the fact that I had at least 2 others prepped and ready to go!!! Ah well. TV’s loss is the YamStamps blog reader’s gain – I’ll share all those prepped projects here over the next while leading up to Valentine’s Day. Just a quick FYI – I shared 2 kit projects on air today – the first was the Hello Life project kit and the second was the So You project kit. Both were fun and easy to make. If you decide to join my team of Stampin’ Up! Canada Demonstrators during Sale-a-Bration, you can select one of these kits for free to add to your choice of merchandise in your starter kit. Contact me for more information!
OK here are this week’s deals from Stampin’ Up! Canada. I love using the embossing folders to add texture to a project – quick and easy! Click on the item name to see it in the YamStamps Online store – you can shop 24/7 and have it delivered to your door!

Jan 20, 2015 | specials, Stampin' Up!
Here’s a great bunch of deals – especially if you like colour… My faves this week – the skin tone Blendabilities…but I also love the little clothespins! Click on the link for each item to see it in the YamStamps online Stampin’ Up! Canada store, or see all the Weekly Deals at once here.
We had another fun Stampers Club Day yesterday (members have their choice of a daytime or evening slot) and I will be sharing some of those projects here on the blog in the next while. Club members will also have access to full instructions, supply lists and photos on the membership site. If you’re able to get to Burlington once a month, and would like to join us, please let me know! I will be revamping the online Club sometime in the near future as well, but in the meantime, it’s also still open for membership – contact me for details.
Happy Shopping!
