Feb 5, 2015 | specials, Stampin' Up!, TV/Video/Web/Tech
SO.
I usually post about Stampin’ Up! Canada’s Weekly Deals bright and early (ish) on Tuesdays when they come up. This week, the plan was no different. But then it was.
First of all, Alan Doyle, of the band Great Big Sea (and TV & movies…) tweeted about being on Morning Live. I tweeted about being there LAST Tuesday and that it was obvious that they didn’t want me fangirling on set. At one point, Alan Doyle responded to my tweet. That was exciting!
Then I got a message from the producer of Morning Live inviting me to come by the studio to MEET Alan Doyle! I did hesitate for a moment, but then I decided – what the heck – it’s a fun opportunity! After picking myself up off the floor, I ran around to get ready to go. I decided not to take my big DSLR camera (I’m already looking like a dork LOL), but then had to dig through my binder of CDs to grab something to get an autograph! Something to think about in this day and age of so much digital media – nothing to get autographs on! Once I got to the green room (which of course is NOT green), I am very proud to say that I did NOT squeal out loud, and in fact I think I looked rather calm and collected once I was there! He was lovely to chat with and very down to earth. It was a wonderful opportunity – so THANK YOU once again to Morning Live, Don, Annette, Bob, Carla and everyone associated with the show. Oh, and Alan Doyle for putting up with me. I did give him a hand stamped card too!

OK so, after all that preamble…here are the weekly deals. Click on the item links to see them in the YamStamps Stampin’ Up! Canada online store, or see all the deals here at a glance. Please contact me if you need help placing your order or have any questions.

Jan 28, 2015 | Occasions, Stampin' Up!, TV/Video/Web/Tech
So…..I had about 4 projects prepped for the Morning Live appearance, knowing we wouldn’t get through all of them, but I really did think we would have managed to get more than one done on air! Ah well. I’d rather be over prepared than under prepared. Think of it as a YamStamps Blog Bonus – because I’ll share those projects here and who knows, if I can clear enough space in my stamping area, I’ll be able to shoot a video or two!! LOL.
Here’s the video from yesterday – please come to the YamStamps blog if you can’t see it below (if you’re viewing via email or a reader) – or subscribe to the YamStamps YouTube Channel to receive notifications each time I upload a new video.
Thanks again to the wonderful hosts and crew at Morning Live who make me feel at home each time I’ve made an appearance. It’s always a fun experience!
A reminder that February’s Card Class is happening on Wednesday, February 4th (one week today) – we’re going to have a SALE-A-BRATION KICK OFF! (OK I know it’s actually already started, but better late than never?!). Cards will feature Sale-a-Bration items plus you can check out the samples that I’ve made with Sale-a-Bration goodies! Registration is open now until Monday, February 2nd – please contact me to RSVP and I will see you soon!

Thanks to everyone at CH Morning Live for having me on as a guest once again. I managed to show one project…never mind the fact that I had at least 2 others prepped and ready to go!!! Ah well. TV’s loss is the YamStamps blog reader’s gain – I’ll share all those prepped projects here over the next while leading up to Valentine’s Day. Just a quick FYI – I shared 2 kit projects on air today – the first was the Hello Life project kit and the second was the So You project kit. Both were fun and easy to make. If you decide to join my team of Stampin’ Up! Canada Demonstrators during Sale-a-Bration, you can select one of these kits for free to add to your choice of merchandise in your starter kit. Contact me for more information!
OK here are this week’s deals from Stampin’ Up! Canada. I love using the embossing folders to add texture to a project – quick and easy! Click on the item name to see it in the YamStamps Online store – you can shop 24/7 and have it delivered to your door!

Nov 1, 2014 | cards, Christmas, Seasonal Catalogue, Stampin' Up!, Tutorial, TV/Video/Web/Tech

One of the fun opportunities I’ve had of late is the chance to be creative for Stampin’ Up! Saturday on the Scrapbook and Cards Today Blog. This is the blog for the Canadian produced magazine that also features contributions by Ali Edwards and Cathy Zielske, two of my scrapbooking idols, so I’m thrilled to be able to say that we’re published in the same space… well, kind of… (as close as I’m going to get at this point anyway LOL!). I had a lot of fun with the latest set of projects featuring the Watercolour Winter Simply Created Kit (ok, I know it’s actually Watercolor Winter in the catalogue, but I can’t help including the “u” – it looks like a spelling error to me otherwise). I’m so grateful for the opportunity.
I managed to do a new video for you all! I know it’s been a while since I’ve done one – I apologize – between decluttering/selling/packing/moving a household, it’s been one of those things that fell by the wayside a bit. However, time to get back at it, and no time like the present! Today’s video shows you how to create the fun icicle accents that decorate this quick and easy card featuring the set Endless Wishes from the Holiday Catalogue. Enjoy! If you can’t see the video embedded below (if you’re seeing this in a reader) – please come directly to this post on the YamStamps site or subscribe to the YamStamps YouTube Channel.
May 2, 2014 | Stampin' Up!, Tutorial, TV/Video/Web/Tech
Semi-regularly, I’ll post a Frugal Friday idea. Today’s idea helps you to get more life out of those icky, old glue sticks. You know, the ones you didn’t quite get the cap on correctly, or haven’t used in ages so the glue dries up into a hard, yellowy lump. Not sure what I’m talking about? Check out my video to see!! LOL. Don’t forget if you’d like to stock up on more glue sticks, they’re only available while supplies last…
This Tool Tip was shot on my iphone…so at one point things aren’t quite perfectly framed….but you’ll still get the idea! The video is embedded below, if you can’t see it, click here to go to the video on the YamStamps Youtube channel.
Mar 1, 2014 | Announcements, TV/Video/Web/Tech
I’m thrilled to announce the launch of Inbox Inspiration!
If you’re a mailing list subscriber, you’ll be familiar with my Twelve Weeks of Christmas mailings. This program is similar to that, with a few exceptions.
Inbox Inspiration is (at present!) a 6 month paid subscriber only series. Each week, subscribers will receive an email with a paper crafting project, with a photo, Stampin’ Up! supply list and instructions. In some cases, there will be a series of photos or an accompanying video. Get all the information and sign up on the Inbox Inspiration page here!
