Finally! Here are some of the Projects!

I must apologize for not getting these up a little sooner – there was much drama behind the scenes here with some technical issues on the website, however all is well now, thanks to the fantastic support team at HostGator . So anyway – on to the fun stuff! Here’s the other folded heart I showed on TV last week – simple to make and fun to share.

heart-kiss

This version is wide enough to hide a chocolate treat inside.

heart-garland

If you punch a hole in the centre of the folded strip (about halfway from either end), you can string them into a garland.

photo-heart-ornament

In this version (that I forgot to share on air after all that! LOL) I adhered a strip of photos to some Designer Series paper and then made a heart ornament. For this one, I adhered two strips at the bottom rather than pinching it in half so that all the photos would be right side up.
Whip some of these up for Valentine’s Day – there’s still time!

Valentine’s Day Projects – as seen on TV!

I am so fortunate to continue to have the opportunity to appear on CHCH Morning Live. The anchors and crew are so much fun and really put me at ease. This past Friday was no exception! I was invited to share some Valentine’s Day projects for loved ones. I created cards for friends and family and projects to share with special people. If you watch the video, you’ll see a photo card I’ll be sending to my friend in England that I was able to visit over the holidays, and a fun coffee pod holder that I’d shared on Instagram earlier. See if you can spot the difference between the one on Instagram and how it appeared on air… ooops. Sometimes things get rearranged in transit, what can I say….

Here’s the video. If you don’t see it embedded below, please click here to visit the post on www.yamstamps.com or see it on the YamStamps YouTube channel here. Click here to get the Folded Heart Instruction Sheet

Check back this week – I’ll be posting photos of the projects I took to the studio!!

Handmade Christmas Cards – Video

Oops! I just realized that I hadn’t posted the video from my CHCH TV Morning Live appearance here!  I did manage to get it onto the YamStamps Youtube channel….so I’m catching up now!  I am always grateful when I’m invited back to be on the Morning Live show – the hosts and crew are fantastic to work with, and we always have fun on air.  This past time, I shared some handmade Christmas card ideas – including a fun (and fairly simple to recreate) 3D card. If you have any questions, leave me a message in the comments area below, or contact me.

And Just Like That….

O-Christmas-Tree-December-WallpaperIt’s December! Just a reminder that my monthly newsletter goes out today…and that tomorrow is Week 9 of the 12 Weeks of Christmas. Only 3 weeks to go?! Bags, tags and packaging will be the themes for the remaining weeks. (but only if you’re signed up for my newsletter!)

Don’t forget to get your FREE download – the monthly desktop calendar – December 2013 has a fun retro feel to it. This was the colour scheme for a lot of my holiday cards this year. I laughed during the weekend Stamp-a-Stack that it was the “Pastel” class as a majority of the cards had softer colours. I was sure to get one or two bolder colours in there, though!!

This Friday is the LAST Christmas Card Class – and there’s a couple of spots left if you’d like to make some special cards to mail or hand deliver. I’m also offering the Festive Flurry Ornament Kit/Class so you can make a few of those to add to a card, tree or gift!! Contact me to register ASAP.
