Stampin’ Up! has another Best of Set – this one is “Best of Greetings” and features great sentiments that can be used in a card, scrapbook page or a smashbook like the This and That books. Like the other Best of Sets, this will be available until March 31, 2014.
This is the month for greetings, it seems, with the Best of set and the Grab Your Greetings special!
I want to take a moment to thank everyone who was able to make it to my New Catalogue Open House and Rubber Garage Sale. It was great to see so many familiar faces – some who I have the pleasure of seeing monthly at club and classes, and others who I don’t get to see so often (and obviously will have to do something about that!). If you weren’t able to make it and still need a hard copy of the Canadian catalogue, please contact me and we can make arrangements to get you one of your very own!
In the meantime, I’m getting prepped to do another winning workshop – Sharon won the McMaster University United Way Silent Auction basket that I donated, and will be having her private class this Friday.
If you’d like to have a private cardmaking class with your friends and family, you don’t have to win a silent auction (though that’s one way of doing it…) – you can just email me and set a date!!!
Grab your greetings! On now until June 30th, you receive 25% off three greeting sets. I love these all purpose greeting sets – they can transform almost any card into an occasion-specific card! Sassy Salutations, Sweet Essentials and Petite Pairs are included in this offer. One good greeting set and a few images will get you through so many card-giving occasions!
Don’t forget! This Saturday, here in Burlington, 9am til noon, my New Catalogue Open House and Retired Rubber Garage Sale – deals to be had and deals to be made 😉
Happy New Year! It’s the new Stampin’ Up! Catalogue year 🙂 As sad as it is to bid farewell to the retiring products it’s very exciting to see all the new products available! I’m hosting an Open House and Retired Rubber Sale this Saturday, June 8th, here in Burlington. Please RSVP to reserve your copy of the new catalogue, as well as helping me figure out how much food to put out!! (plus get directions if you need them!)
If you’d like to get a copy of the catalogue but can’t make it that day, please contact me to make arrangements to get your own physical copy!
I’m also taking bookings for in home classes – you can be sure we’ll be using some fun new product and colour in the projects we create. My next monthly card class will be Wednesday, June 12th – please note the date change – it’s the SECOND Wednesday of the month, not the first. If you’re looking to budget out your new catalogue spending, consider joining my Stampers Club – spread your purchases out over 6 months, and you get hostess dollars to spend once during that 6 month period!
In the meantime, I’ll be packaging and pricing retiring goodies for the sale….hope to see you Saturday morning at 9am!!
Just dropped off my donation for the Charles R. Beaudoin PS Silent Auction! I donated a package of paper crafting items (plus gift certificates – free class for 6!) for the Annual Barbeque. Later today, I’ll be doing final preparations for the Tansley Cares Event at Tansley United Church. It’s been a little while since we did this event and I’m looking forward to it! We’ll create cards that will be sent to people at various times during the year – significant events and times when people could use a bit of support or a boost. I’ll also donate 20% of product sales towards the Tansley Cares group. If you’d like to participate in that, email me with an order!
The other excitement is that new catalogue orders can start later TODAY! There’s an overlap – you can order retiring product until June 3rd, but you can start ordering new catalogue product May 31st (after 2pm eastern time)! So much opportunity to shop…..
If you’re in need of sentiments (and really, who isn’t…LOL) 25% off Sassy Salutations, Sweet Essentials and Petite Pairs starts today and runs until the end of June. I’ll post links later once everything is up live again (online ordering and catalogues are being updated as I type…)
It’s that time….the new desktop calendar download is now available for June. You can download the image HERE. I am loving the way that the downloads keep my desktop background varied and interesting! And yes, June is THIS WEEKEND!! The time surely flies when you’re having fun.
Have you reserved your copy of the new catalogue? Be sure to contact me to do so! You can pick them up at my New Catalogue Event on Saturday June 8th, or we can make arrangements otherwise. If you’ve got your copy reserved (or have your new copy already) – you can email me your new catalogue order NOW and I can enter the order for you as soon as the ordering goes live on June 1st.
Lots of things to look forward to in the next month – and I look forward to seeing you in person sometime soon if you’re in the Burlington area!!
There’s one week left to purchase retiring items from the 2012-2013 Stampin’ Up! Catalogue – don’t miss out! This card features a couple of retiring sets – the sentiment is from Curly Cute, and the images in the background are from Circle Circus. I used Silver Glimmer Paper (don’t worry, not a retiring product!) to add some glamour to the card. I am not sure if you can see it in either of the photos of the card, but the silver embossing on the word actually also has a bit of glimmer to it…. I mixed some Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder into some Silver Embossing Powder to come up with a sparkly silver concoction that I thought tied in with the theme. I really like how it turned out!
If you’re in the Burlington area, I have a couple of upcoming events – I’m doing an event at Tansley United Church on Saturday, June 1st. We’re creating cards, and we’ll share some of them with the church’s outreach program. Also, 20% of all product sales that day will be donated to the Tansley Cares outreach program. If you aren’t able to make it but would like your purchase to go towards supporting this effort, please email me with your order by Saturday, June 1st.
Also – last but not least, Saturday, June 8th – 9am start for my Annual New Catalogue Open House & Retired Rubber Sale – you won’t want to miss out! Come get your copy of the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue and shop! If you’re planning on shopping at the retired rubber sale, please bring cash. I can accept Visa & Mastercard for new catalogue orders only. Please RSVP so I can set aside a copy of the catalogue for you! I look forward to seeing you SOON!!
Stampin’ Up! has another free digital download that might have escaped your notice (it escaped mine…..I hang my head in shame….). Packed For You is a digital template that you can download, decorate and then print and assemble – great for end of school year gifts?! Click here to download it from anywhere in Canada in the YamStamps Stampin’ Up! online store. You could load it up with goodies, a gift card, or some photos from the year.
Don’t forget that the MDS (My Digital Studio) software is only $24.95! For that great price you’ll get the full program plus a huge amount of digital designs. You can then download more digital content as you wish (like this template). No shipping costs and instant gratification (love it!). Perfect for procrastinators like me who might occasionally get caught trying to create something at the last minute….to find that the crafting stash lacks an appropriate image/sentiment/template. The downloadable digital content is available in formats for use in MDS or other photo editing software that can handle .png images (like Photoshop Elements).
Moving Forward is the Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set for this year – and it’s retiring at the end of the month. For each set sold, Stampin’ Up! donates to $3 US to RMHC – a great way to support a great cause and build your crafting stash at the same time! This card also uses the Parker’s Patterns Designer Series Paper. We cut out the banners using the Hearts a Flutter framelit and embossed the Marina Mist cardstock with the Cloudy Day Textured Embossing Folder. I love how the Big Shot not only makes my crafting more fun and easy, but lets me add dimension to my projects. I’m not sure what I did before I got one!! LOL.
You can still order the items on this card until June 3rd, so contact me if you have any questions, or start your online order here. Don’t forget to RSVP for my New Catalogue Open House on June 8th while you’re at it!!
Here’s the coupon book / photo book that I shared on my TV shots this past week or so. Both are made in the same way…. the outside cardstock is cut to 4.25″ x 11″, and the inner cardstock/paper is cut to 4″ x 10.5″. All are folded in half, and then I punched 2 holes along the fold line and threaded ribbon through it to hold it together. Easy peasy. Coupon books are a quick and easy gift, and when you make it yourself it’s even better! These samples used the Apothecary Arts set (photo book) Serene Silhouettes set (coupon book)
Another option – I used the soda pop tops from the Spring Catalogue, flattened in my Big Shot. I printed out a photo onto paper (I have a laser printer so not sure how well this will work with an inkjet image…), punched it out with my 1″ circle punch, then adhered it into the centre. I punched another hole in the top of the pop top (I used my Crop a Dile which goes through metal like butter!) I coated it with Crystal Effects and let it dry. Another fun and easy quick gift!
You still have time to make these yourself…or another option is to download the “Because I Love You” Digital Swatchbook Template. You can edit it in MDS or photo editing software, print it out and assemble it in time for tomorrow!
I hope that all the Moms out there have a wonderful Mother’s Day!!
