Stampin’ Supplies

20110701_IBC_en-CA(1) I had a conversation with one of my newer members of my demonstrator team that reminded me to make sure everyone knew about this link! This link takes you to the stampin' supply list for the Idea Book & Catalogue.  The projects are labelled by page number and project (I think in general it goes left to right, top to bottom….) and the list includes all the supplies required to re-create that project!  I find that when I know what's been used to make something, it's much easier for me to figure out how it was created.  Often, I won't identically re-create something anyway – but use the original project as an inspiration guide for my version.

Oh…and here's the Stampin' Supply list for the Summer Mini Catalogue.  Don't forget to grab your Mini Catalogue products before the end of August!!

What are you doing on Friday Evening?

Just checking…I'm hosting my monthly Information Evening this Friday at 7pm.  If you're interested in discovering another income stream (and quite frankly, I'm sure that includes most of us!), you should attend this no cost, no obligation evening, here in Burlington!  Please RSVP to get directions.  If you aren't able to attend, we can always arrange to meet at another mutually convenient time, or you could attend next month.  I look forward to hearing from you!

Beats to Beat Cancer – Go Steve Go!!!!

I have to share this link with you.  A friend of mine, Steve Gaul, is in the midst of a world record attempt at marathon drumming!  The current record is 120 hours, so Steve is aiming for 121, and as I type this, he is at hour 104.  Absolutely AMAZING.  His efforts are not just for the record, though – he's also raising funds for cancer research.  Steve himself is a cancer survivor, and his current effort is dedicated to the memory of his beautiful sister Toni, who passed away after a long battle with cancer just last year.

You can read more about it here: http://www.beatstobeatcancer.com/

You can watch the live feed here: http://www2.thescore.com/video/drumathon-player.aspx

Most importantly, you can donate to Steve's efforts for the Canadian Cancer Society here: http://convio.cancer.ca/site/TR?px=3644211&fr_id=9750&pg=personal

Go Steve Go!!!!!

Special for August!

Hello!  As the Stampin' Up! stamp that quotes John Lennon goes "Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans".  Where has the time gone?  Sorry for that "radio silence" there.  Here in Canada, it's a long weekend YAY so I'm busy doing fun things like totally cleaning out my home office….which has been a long time coming.  Still not quite finished…but there's room to move in there now so that's progress.  My goal is to get it more or less done by this evening.  Wish me luck!!!

Video from CH Morning Live Appearance

If you weren't able to tune in live a week ago, here's the video of my segment on CH Morning Live.  I always have fun doing the show and this was no exception.  Bob (the co-host seen on the clip) had me laughing before we were even on air! The video is embedded below, but if you are reading this in a reader or email, it may not appear – if so, here's the link to the video on the yamstamps youtube channel. The segment was showing a few creative things you could do with children – so I featured mobiles and mini scrapbooks.

I'm finalizing my schedule for the next few months so if you're interested in hosting a workshop in your home and earning free product from the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalogue, please be sure to contact me!

The Best Laid Plans…..

LOL.  So I was challenged to post on my blog every day for a month.  The challenge started Thursday.  I was out by Friday….yes, that's right, I lasted one day….but I was distracted – that's my excuse! Besides preparing for my New Catalogue Open House & Rubber Garage Sale on the Saturday, I was headed to Toronto to see Hugh Jackman (yes, THAT Hugh Jackman) in concert – an early birthday present for my mother, and darn it all, the sacrifices we make for family, I went along with her.  The concert was fantastic!  Such a multi-talented guy – sings, dances, acts, and not hard to look at LOL.  We had great seats as well – close enough that I'm SURE he looked at me during the show…. and then he waved at me afterwards.  Here's proof…

ROFLOL!!! (but that really is him…)  Reminder to self: always carry camera because you never know when you'll want a half decent photo!! The iphone camera is okay…but obviously not up to certain challenges.

Thanks to all who were able to make it to my Open House – it was a frenzy of activity at the start!  If you weren't able to attend but want your copy of the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalogue, contact me to make arrangements to get it into your hands!

Reminder for Rubber Garage Sale

Hi all.  So.  As I noted on the yamstamps facebook page, I apparently jinx myself every time I put a project up on the blog on the day that I am going to be on TV.  The last few times I've done that, inevitably that's the project that does NOT get featured!!! ROFLOL.  I owe you all a video, which I hope to work on this weekend.

ALSO:

Just a reminder that if you'll be attending the New Catalogue Open House & Rubber Garage Sale, please 1) RSVP and 2) Bring cash/cheque for your Garage Sale purchases.  If you wish to place a new catalogue order, I can still accept credit card payment for that.  Any questions, please contact me!

More of the Mini Book

Inside-mini-book Here's another shot of the mini book that I'm sharing today on CH Morning Live. It's really quite easy and is a fun way to save some memorabilia, photos and memories from summer vacation.

If this is the first time you're visiting www.yamstamps.com, welcome! Please sign up for my July email newsletter which is being published tomorrow, Tuesday, July 5th.

I hope you had a great long weekend, and a Happy Canada Day….and if you're in the US, Happy Independence Day!  I'll be sharing more projects from today's TV appearance in the next few days, so please be sure to come back to see them!

Mini Book

If you're a fan of my Yamstamps Facebook Page you'll have seen the update I posted – I'm going to be on CH Morning Live tomorrow morning (Monday, July 4th) at 8:10 am (approximately!). I'll be sharing some craft ideas for you to do with the kids in your life.

Mini-book

Here's a sneak peek at a mini book I'm planning on sharing – I'll show the rest of it tomorrow, and if by chance we run out of time before I get to show how it's made, I'll be sure to create a video to share!
