My email newsletter subscribers had the heads up on this one… The next themed class on my schedule is the Snow Flurries Portfolio Class! A great chance to work with some fun accessories and create a wonderful portfolio of cards. I think this is a fantastic package to keep or give as a gift! We'll use the little felt flurries, build a brads and ski slope designer series paper to create these cards and holder.
Class date is Monday, November 17 – 7pm in Burlington. Registration and payment due date is Monday, November 3rd. Cost is $39.99 and includes all supplies required to make the portfolio shown, plus envelopes. You'll get a full package of the Season of Cheer rub ons, which we'll use to create this ensemble, but there will be plenty of rub ons left for you to take home & use on other projects! This is a card that I've done in previous holiday seasons….I love the soft effect of the background of trees! This is an option for my Christmas Card Clinic (Nov 6, 10, 14, all 7-9 pm). $25 for 10 cards with envelopes, $2.50 for each additional card.
The Card Clinic photo album is up – so if you've already rsvp'd, please take a look at the album and select the design you'd like to create. I'll have the supplies ready and waiting for you at the clinic! Since your cards will be the same design, I'll be able to help you out with how to easily "mass produce" them. So if you're in the Burlington area, it's a great opportunity to make your own holiday cards.
In this age of electronics, Christmas is often the one time of year we'll send out this volume of cards in the mail – so why not make it extra special??!! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadians out there (at home and abroad). Hope that you are able to enjoy some family & friend time.
This is a card from the Stamp a Stack – using the set Season of Friendship from the Holiday mini catalogue. I love how this set can be adjusted to the various seasons of the year! The leaves could be done in different colours; there are flowers and snowflakes as well. For the sake of simplicity & speed, the leaves were stamped in one colour only, but by stamping second generation images there is some variation in the shade of green. (in other words, stamping the leaves, then stamping again without reinking the stamp).
I'm getting set for my upcoming holiday card class (first Weds of November) plus the Christmas Card Clinics! Don't forget to RSVP if you're interested in attending either event. I'm going to be finishing the photo album with the clinic choices this weekend (at least that's the plan, in between eating turkey and napping!!) so keep your eye here at www.yamstamps.com to see when it's uploaded!

Thanks to those that made it out to my World Cardmaking Day Stamp a Stack in Mississauga!! We had a great time, and collected a whack of food for the foodbank – congrats to Lorna who won the draw for the package of Stampin' Up! goodies (all who brought a donation were included in the draw). Participants also walked away with 10 cards ready to send out (or 5 to send out and 5 to keep as prototypes for future cards…you know who you are….lol). Unfortunately I forgot my camera (DOH) so no pics of the event…but happy memories.

I looooooove this set! All attendees at Stampin' Up!'s convention this year received this stamp set in their bag (well, that and a couple other sets…).
This is a card we'll be doing on Saturday at the World Card Making Stamp a Stack in Mississauga. TODAY is the final day to register if you want to join us!
The grass is done on white cardstock while the cone flower silhouette is stamped on cardstock vellum, held in place by gold brads. I really like the soft effect the vellum gives. This is one of those multi-purpose type cards – simply add the appropriate sentiment on the inside & you're good to go!
