Woohoo! Stampin' Up!'s Fall-Winter 2008 Idea Book & Catalogue is being released today! What's even better is that there's a SALE on right now – click on the word sale to see the flyer – 15% off a number of sets until the end of September!

That’s the reason for the quiet blog this past while… I was at Stampin’ Up!’s 20th anniversary convention in Salt Lake City! Convention is a great time to catch up with friends from across the country and north america! Oh…and get the new catalogue and samples and news…

This is the convention bag we got this year – I think it’s my favourite one so far!! Of course the contents were fabulous as well – we received three stamp sets and the new catalogue!! Lots of great stamp sets and accessories to be had…

Big announcements at the convention this year – the biggest I think was the fact that Stampin’ Up! has teamed with Sizzix and will be offering the Big Shot come September!! Demonstrator preorder has already started….and I’m hoping mine will be here in time for my Retired Rubber sale and New Catalogue Open House on Saturday, August 16th! I will be offering a customer preorder special as well, so be sure to be on my newsletter mailing list for more information (next newsletter is out TOMORROW, Weds August 6th).

I realize I haven’t given you much eye candy of late, just the dry updates on retiring things….so here’s something to make up for it….of course, I wasn’t the one who created it, but whatever…

This is courtesy of my friend and upline Sue Farrant – isn’t it lovely? She made the bird (from the set Always) multicoloured by using reinkers on a baby wipe as an ink pad. The card is accented with a flower from the flower fusion accents and elements and build a brad. The sentiment is from the Cherished Memories rub ons.

I’m looking forward to spending time with old & new friends at the Stampin’ Up! convention – and am sure that I will have lots of fun things to share with you in the near future!!

In Colours Retiring

Stampin’ Up! will be releasing six new In Colours in the Fall/Winter Catalogue. As a demonstrator I was able to participate in a preorder (with a discount, how nice is that?!) these colours so I’m getting to know them… I’ve really liked this year’s In Colours… loooove Soft Sky & Blue Bayou together…*sigh* However, to make room for the new, the current In Colours will be retiring with the Spring-Summer Catalogue, August 10th. To keep enjoying these great colours, be sure you have all the ink, reinkers, cardstock and ribbons you need! (Newsletter subscribers will have seen the info on reinkers and their importance).

Contact me to stock up on any of the supplies you need for your favourite colours before they are gone forever. I’ll be posting a peek at the new colours in the next little while so stay tuned!.

Stampin’ Up! has announced a new product line called Decor Elements.

You can check out the catalogue here. The Décor Elements product line is an extension of the Definitely Decorative home décor line. Décor Elements is vinyl artwork for walls, mirrors, windows, or other hard, smooth surfaces.

The Décor Elements product line is another way to let you express your creativity-just on a larger canvas than a card or scrapbook page!
