An Announcement plus a Reminder!

don't forgetA reminder that if you purchased retired rubber from me during my June Open House, you have a gift certificate to use! Please contact me by August 31st with your order so you don’t miss out!

As well – I have some new classes on my schedule! CHRISTMAS CARD CLASSES! Yes, it’s getting to that time of year….so – the first Friday evening of each month from September to December inclusive is a Christmas Card Class. Each class will feature four different cards for you to make, and the class fee of $20 includes all the supplies you’ll need plus the envelopes. BONUS: if you register for all four classes by September 4th, you will make an extra, exclusive card at each class – so that’s 5 cards instead of 4 – at EACH class – it’s like getting an extra class for free! See my schedule for more information and the paypal link to register and ensure your spot, as spaces are limited.

One last option for you (because I like choices) – get a group of friends together and I will bring the Christmas Card Class to you! Contact me for my available dates….first come, first served.

An Attitude of Gratitude

photopolymer-stamps Stampin’ Up!’s new photopolymer set is called “Another Thank You”. These fun sets give you another cost-effective option in your crafting.  See all the photopolymer sets here.  Click on the image to see the flyer for this set.

This set is great for me as I’m working on my own attitude of gratitude – remembering to be thankful as part of my everyday life. Too often it’s easy to grumble about things, but I’m trying not to be a “Negative Nelly”! (sorry, if your name is Nelly…nothing personal….LOL). So once I get this set, I’m planning on setting aside some time to create some “just because” thank you cards! Nothing better than showing others that you appreciate them, right?!

If you need to set aside some time to create or for yourself (like that segue?!) why not join us at my Monthly Card Class or Stampers Club? Either option gives you a scheduled time to come and learn some new techniques and try the latest Stampin’ Up! tools. See my events page for more information or contact me if you have any questions. The kids are getting ready to go back to classes (okay, well maybe not the kids, but the parents at least?!) – so what about YOU?!

Now available

rotary-blade-imageThe rotary cutter attachment is now available for the Stampin’ Trimmer! Seen on page 176-177 in the Annual Catalogue, it features an arm that attaches onto the cutter base (your choice, metric or imperial measurements), and has changeable blades – a straight blade, a scallop blade, a wave blade and a perforating blade (from the Holiday Catalogue)!  As well, you can get replacement cutting mats for the channel in the trimmer, to ensure you get a clean cut each time. So now this trimmer can cut, score and add a decorative edge to your cardstocks. See the whole collection HERE in my online store – shop 24/7 and have your order delivered to your door, anywhere in Canada! If you’re local to Burlington, you can also come to one of my classes or clubs and place your order in person, or by email. I’m here to enable….I mean “help”!! LOL.

Here’s a video showing you more about the rotary attachment for the Stampin’ Trimmer: (click here to come to the post in case you can’t see the embedded video)
As always, if you have any questions, or need help to place your order, please contact me!

Tune in!

Just popping by to mention that I’m scheduled to be on air tomorrow around 9:15 am on CHCH TV’s Morning Live program, as part of Wedding Wednesdays. I’ve been having fun preparing mock ups of stationery that you can create for a wedding – love how papercrafting can help present a unified theme through colour, texture and images! The advantages to DIY – it’s a custom made item, and you can save some money – tune in tomorrow and I’ll share some ideas – and of course, I’ll post here as well after the show.

Big Fun for the Big Shot!

LPHeader_thinlits_Demo_7.19.13We had the chance to see these at the recent Stampin’ Up! Convention and there were definitely squeals of excitement from the audience!! Framelits dies made these type of “flip flop” cards a little easier to make, but now there’s dies that do it all – cut and score so that there’s little fuss for you!! There’s a circle and a label version, and both come with additional pieces to make your card even more WOW. You can be sure that we’ll be using these in upcoming classes. If you can’t make it to the monthly card class or Stampers Club, consider hosting your own private class – get a group of friends together and I’ll come to you! Contact me for more information.

Click on the image or here to download the flyer with more information about the thinlits dies, or check them in my online store HERE.   These dies are sure to make your cards a huge hit and impress your friends and family!
