Did you miss out on my Scrapbook in a Box Class? Busy that day? Not close to Burlington ON? Good news! I’ve launched the online version of this class!
If you are in Canada, you have the option of purchasing the Class By Mail (which includes access to the online class materials) OR the Online Only version of the Class. If you’re outside of Canada, you can access the Online Version.
You can get all the details here! The Class By Mail will include precut cardstock and Designer Series Paper, plus the doilies. You provide the adhesive and the stamps and ink that you want to use. If you want to purchase materials so that you can recreate the box exactly as per the class sample (well, with your own photos, I hope…), there’s a list of class supplies in the Online Class Group, or you can contact me.
Once you have made one of these, you’ll want to make more! You have lifetime access to class materials, plus there will be online support in the Class Group site. Register here! I’ll be doing a live video for the class before the end of June so if you want to be in on the real time video, you’ll want to be registered for class before then. Of course, there will be lifetime access to the replay of the video as well, plus I’ll be available to answer questions in the group site. Contact me for more information – otherwise, “see” you in class!

I think that the Clever Cards Class is a great way to celebrate World Cardmaking Day. This class features a number of interesting and clever folds that you can use for your cards when you want an extra special card! It’s an online class, so you can learn from the comfort of your own home, and like all the YamStampsMore Online Classes, you’ll have lifetime access to the videos and instructions.

Stampin’ Up!’s set This Little Piggy (available in wood mount or clear mount) is such a fun set. I used it to create some fun swap cards a while back. When Pigs Fly….we should celebrate! I love this sentiment in particular. The image itself is watercoloured, using the aquapainter and refills. Marina Mist is the sky, and Blushing Bride (if I recall correctly….) was used for the pig. I watercoloured on Shimmery White cardstock, and the clouds are cut from the same cardstock. It has a beautiful, subtle shimmery sparkle to it. To boost the shimmer a bit more, I used the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush on the wings.
I love that watercolouring doesn’t have to be all smooth and washed out if you don’t want it to be! I filmed a tutorial on how to get the variegated wash background, and I’ll be sharing it in the Online Watercolouring Class (yes, I know, it’s still in final stages of production…life keeps getting in the way! LOL). (I know, sometimes it feels like this online class will be live when pigs fly….if you want to be notified when the class is available for registration, click here to join the list)
The clouds are die cut using the Up & Away Thinlit dies. A cheater trick of mine is to put the sentiment on a die cut or punch out, so if you mess it up, you only have to redo one portion, not the entire card….or if you happen to mess up stamping on the card itself, a die cut or punch out can cover that up! Trust me, after decades of paper crafting, I know how to cover up mistakes….LOL. What’s that sentiment? A mistake is just an opportunity for an embellishment?! When pigs fly…I will design a card without making a “forced creative detour”….hahaha!
I’ll be pulling out the Wink of Stella Brush Pens next week for the Christmas Card Class. Nothing like a little shimmer and shine to make your Christmas cards more special! Happy Boxing Day! In the new year, I’ll be launching another YamStampsMore Online Class – this one will be “Clever Cards”! It will focus on card designs and techniques, rather than a particular stamp set or product. This way, you can use the class to learn how to make a variety of “not your basic half fold cards”, and add your own creative touch by using whatever stamps, ink and embellishments you have on hand. Think more 3D type card projects or movement based cards – like pop up cards. The projected cost of this online class is $20 Canadian, but during the Preorder, you can purchase the class in advance for just $10 Canadian! If you purchase your class before the end of the year, you’ll also receive access to an exclusive additional project.
Please note that this is a PREORDER. You will be notified when the class goes live and you will be able to access the class materials and bonus project at that time. Much like my other online classes, it will feature full instructions and video for each individual project, lifetime access, and is open to students from around the world. At time of this post, there are a minimum of four different projects to be featured.

Happy World Cardmaking Day! I’m happy to announce that Merry & Bright Online Card Class is now available! This class features four holiday cards that use the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper and White Perfect Accents on each card, with a variety of stamps and inks to make each project unique. This is the online version of the Merry & Bright Class that was held in August in Burlington – so if you weren’t able to attend in person, you can see it online! You’ll get a list of supplies, written instructions and a total of four videos showing the creation of each card.
