Hello….

_DSC0542

It’s me….with a card….that I SWORE I had shared already but now for the life of me can’t find it…. Anyway….this uses the gorgeous Timeless Textures stamp set, available in clear mount or wood mount. Combined with the Hello You thinlits, it makes for a lovely artistic card, good for males or females. The card base is Lost Lagoon, one of the 2014-2016 In Colours, which means it will be leaving us soon *sniff*. Early Espresso and Crumb Cake are the other colours featured on the card. We found that the Die Brush was useful in popping out the die cut, and one layer of wax paper between the cardstock and die also made it quick to remove.

If you like Lost Lagoon, NOW is the time to grab more of it – before it’s gone! Don’t wait until the official retirement announcement. The retiring In Colours go quickly, and often are the first items to go. You can shop online and place your order, or contact me if you have questions, or need assistance.

Don’t forget to enter my retiring list contest – everyone who enters gets a $5 gift certificate to use in May!

Be a Winner – Just Like Kate!

LY-4087

It was SUCH a busy weekend but a lot of fun too! I had a booth at the Kitchener Scrapfest on Friday and Saturday. Lots of people came by (thank you if you were one of them!), looked, shopped, entered the draw and did my free make and takes. This photo is Kate, who won the free draw for a Big Shot! I understand she’s got a group of friends who will help her make sure it gets plenty of use. I was just as excited as she was….because she was still around when I did the draw so I didn’t have to take it home again and ship it out to her!

Thanks also to the people who volunteered to help me out, and those who were able to make it to help me out!

Leanne, one of my wonderful members of my demonstrator group, Suzanne, who loves Stampin’ Up! and teaching, and Kat, my “non-crafty” cousin who helped with customer service and cleaning up my booth (and introduced me to the fantastic food from Arabesque).

If you would like your chance to win something…..my annual Retiring List Contest is back!

HOW TO ENTER:
Send me an email with your list of 10 stamp sets that you believe will be retiring from the Annual Catalogue (No hostess sets, no Occasions catalogue sets) by FRIDAY, APRIL 15. The person with the most correct guesses will win a $25 gift certificate from me! Get all 10 correct, and get a $30 gift certificate! In the event of a tie, I will randomly draw the winner. I reserve the right to close the contest early. If the winner is outside Canada, gift certificate may only be used for online classes, not merchandise, as per Stampin’ Up! regulations. Offer good only through me, Linda Yamamoto / YamStamps, Independent Stampin’ Up! Canada Demonstrator.

Good luck!!

LAST set of Stampin’ Up! Canada Weekly Deals

weekly deals

Stampin’ Up! is changing things up! This is the last set of Weekly Deals that we will see (but we get extra time to take advantage of them!). After this, we will see less frequent but still fantastic Special Offers every few months. You can be sure that I will be updating you here on the YamStamps blog when those specials come around! In the meantime, please click on the image or click HERE to shop in the YamStamps Online Stampin’ Up! Canada store. If you’re going to the Kitchener Scrapfest, look for me in my booth (# 130) and you can place an order with me then….and enter my draw for a Big Shot!

My favourite pick this week was actually easy…because the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies are on this list! These are fantastic, beautiful detailed dies. I do recommend that you get the Big Shot Die Brush to use with this to make removal much easier.

If you have any questions, or need assistance placing your order, please don’t hesistate to contact me! Happy Shopping!

Newsletter and Contest Information Coming Tomorrow!

First of all, I apologize for the bit of radio silence last week – I was busy stressing out about my upcoming run!! I did the Around the Bay race once again this past weekend – it’s been a couple of years since I last ran it so I had a few more pre-race nerves than I expected, but I also learned to go in with few expectations other than to finish!

Here’s a group of us pre-run (look how happy we are….I didn’t smile as much until I finished LOL)

If you can’t tell, it was a little chilly that day…though running 30 km does tend to warm you up a little bit… I am glad to say that I did finish, and actually did my fastest time yet in that race (surprised me!!). I am very thankful for my friends who encouraged me, pushed me and supported me through our training! (oh, and of course to my family who put up with me moaning and groaning aftewards LOL).

Tomorrow the YamStamps newsletter will be going out to subscribers, with the latest group of paper crafting ideas and projects, and a first peek at a time sensitive contest. I’ll post about it on the blog here after that! Be sure to be subscribed to get the scoop!
