Consider this a bouquet of flowers in apology for my blogging absence!!
This cute flowerpot was one of the projects at Stampers and Scrappers Club. We used the Big Shot Originalz Die – Flower Layers #3 to create the In Colour flowers - Riding Hood Red, Tangerine Tango and Pink Pirouette. We used the textured 12" x 12" cardstock (well, except the Pink Pirouette because I'd already used that up on another project lol). Kiwi Kiss was the background. I used 1/2" circles on the larger flowers to anchor the kraft corduroy buttons. The flowers were adhered to a strip of textured kiwi kiss cardstock, and the flower portion can be removed from the pot and used as a bookmark! I think the Pacific Point card really makes everything jump out at you as well.
Don't forget that the In Colours will be gone at the end of June, to make room for NEW In Colours in the new Idea Book & Catalogue in July. It's a great time to stock up on the textured cardstock right now with the buy 3 get 1 free special… Contact me if you have questions or need to build up your cardstock or designer series paper stash!

Still thinking about purchasing the NEW Pop Up Dies?
The new Big Shot Pop Up Dies are a great way to add a whole new dimension to your card making. Just think of all the great birthday cards you can send out and surprise your friends and family with a cake popping up! Stampin' Saturday participants created wonderful cakes to share with friends and family on birthdays and wedding days.
Here is a video to show you how it works and to help with your inspiration. Be creative and decorate it – add embellishments to your cake or turn it into something other than a cake! I've seen a boat, a bunny, a castle… If you come up with something novel, please share it!!
Contact me for more information on this die or any other of the Big Shot products!

These are some examples of the handmade gifts I'll be showing on Friday morning, when I appear on CH Morning Live (around 8:10 am).
These were made with the Pillow Box die for the Big Shot. I stamped the hearts from the Stampin' Up stamp set Love You Much on Pink Pirouette cardstock for the one in the rear, and used some of the Candy Lane Designer Series Paper for the one in the front. I used the Heart to Heart punch to make a "window" so you could see the treats inside!
We'll also be doing a pillow box (complete with candy – got to get it out of my house so I don't eat it all!!) at the "Love"ly Little Gifts class on Thursday February 12th at 7 pm in Burlington. Contact me to reserve your spot!

This is the layout that the scrappers club did the other evening. Page is kraft cardstock, with Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red Accents. Images from Doodle This are in Sahara Sand, and the title is done with the Big Shot Naturally Serif (the smaller size letters) and Serif Essentials Alphabet (the "ME"). The letters were die cut from the textured cardstock; we swiped the ink pad over the cardstock for the letters ME to make the texture stand out even more. The flower from Doodle This was done in Basic Brown on watercolour paper and coloured
with the Aquapainter. Lots of activity in these two pages!
A definition from Define Your Life is on the second page, along with some pretties from the Pretty Kit. Recognize the covered chipboard? It's from the Country Living Holiday Kit! It's not just for ornaments – as you can see, they add a great touch to this scrapbook page. The kit is HALF PRICE right now as part of the Inventory Blow Out special – running only until January 18th. If you're keen to capitalize on this bargain, click on the "Shop Now" link at the top right of the blog, or go to my business website at www.yamstamps.stampinup.net You can always contact me directly as well.
Oh, and the pictures are still to be added to this page….
The next session of Stampers/Scrappers Club starts in February – are you interested? There are only a few openings, so contact me ASAP if you want more details, or are ready to reserve your club spot!

Here's another swap card I received – this one is from someone in MY downline. Pammila's on the Sunshine Coast in BC – this is her creation for the swap – love the shaving cream background on the top note die, and the glitter on the dots on the star. The greeting is from Snow Swirled, the other stamps are from Spotlight on Christmas – one of those sets that I overlooked at first, I must admit…but the more I see samples with it, the more I think it should be on my next order!!!
