Quick Christmas Card

Christmas-card'Tis the season….where people get short of Christmas cards…. so here's a quick card you can create!

Stampin' Up!'s Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper serves as a backdrop for the image from Easy Events. I used the Corner Rounder punch to give a bit of a different look to the papers and tie the background and foreground together. You could "bling" this card up as well with rhinestones or pearls on the berries.

I'm looking forward to getting together with demonstrators in my group next Wednesday, December 19th. If you take advantage of the Ink-redible special that is still on for 5 more days, you'll be eligible to join us! Contact me or click here for more information on the starter kit.

Ornament Class

Ornament

*Note* I have updated this post to make corrections to the date!!**

This is a shot of the ornament I made in preparation for the Ornament Class on December 15th.(*note corrected date, it's the Saturday….)  I took it with me when I taped my appearance for Cogeco TV's local "FYI" show, and tweeted a photo of it beforehand….which….of course….guaranteed that we didn't get time to talk about it and I'm not sure if it even got camera time! The jinx continues LOL – every time I show a photo of something in anticipation, I seem to run out of time before getting to show it on air!!

Anyway – if you'd like to make one of these yourself, you now have a few options!

Come in person to my Ornament class in Burlington ON, Saturday, December 15th at 1pm. Registration required, fee is $25 and includes all materials required (and prepped) for you ahead of time. Contact me to reserve your spot. Payment due at time of registration. If you can't make it, you can get a class to go kit for the same amount; you will need adhesive (I used SNAIL), and a liquid adhesive or glue gun is helpful for final assembly.

Ornamental_Elegance_BannerOr…Stampin' Up! announced they have a number of kits available to make a simplified version of the ornament.

The Ornamental Elegance Kit is $17.95 and includes die cut ornaments – you need to supply a glue gun, adhesive and scissors. Supplies are limited.

Any way you choose to try it, there's really no reason NOT to! Contact me for more information, to reserve your spot or get your kit!

How fun are these packaging bundles? Two choices – the Petite Treats Bundle on the left or the Trimmings and Tags Bundle on the right

I love stamping sentiments (the one on the card is from More Merry Messages)and then punching them out – it's an easy way for me to be sure that my sentiment is straight!!  If you're looking to complete your card stash, don't forget that the last sessions of my Christmas Card Clinics are this week – registration closes Tuesday – so move fast! Select the design of your choice from the album, I'll cut and prep all the materials, and you come and create!  Contact me ASAP or register on my events page.

Have you shopped all the deals in the Online Extravaganza? The sale ends this Wednesday, November 28th with a final set of doorcrasher specials. I think that the best deal in this whole set of items is the MDS2 (My Digital Studio 2) papercrafting digital software. It's 50% off!! Don't miss out.

Christmas Card Clinic – another choice

Card-Clinic-1Here's another potential selection for the Christmas Card Clinics (which are coming up very soon!). This one uses the Big Shot to make a textured background for the Snow Swirled tree. I love how the pattern of the background is similar to the floral/stars part of the tree image.

New this year at my Card Clinics is the option to purchase some "bling" that you can then add onto your card of choice.  This card has a bit of Dazzling Details on the floral images, but could also be jazzed up with the basic rhinestones or pearls.

See more details on the card clinics on the events page and you can register there as well!  If you have questions or would prefer to pay in cash, please contact me directly.

Christmas Card Clinic Dates

I've posted 4 of the choices for the Christmas Card Clinics that I've scheduled for November.  The dates are: Friday November 9th, Saturday, November 10th, Saturday, November 17th and Wednesday November 21st. You choose which date works best for you, and which card you'd like to create. Cost is $30 for 10 cards of one design, $2.50 for each additional card of the same design thereafter. I've added an option this year for you to add on an order of Basic Pearls, Basic Rhinestones or a bottle of Dazzling Details for you to bling up your cards as you desire.

Card-Clinic-2

Here is one of the card options. I plan on posting a few more choices over the next few days as well.  The Clinic photo album is at the right on the blog, or try this link to go directly to the options.

The card clinic is a great way to get a bunch of cards done quickly and easily. Pick the design of your choice, I will cut and prepare all the materials and have them waiting for you on your clinic date. You come to my place in Burlington, stamp and assemble, and take your cards home to sign and mail! Beautiful handmade cards without too much fuss or muss.  I look forward to helping you spread the holiday spirit :)  Please contact me if you have any questions, or wish to register.  You can also register through the Yamstamps event page, through the paypal link.
