It’s coming up to Digital Scrapbooking Day (I know, perhaps another one of those “days” that you didn’t know about…aren’t you glad you read this blog?!) and Stampin’ Up! wants to celebrate as well – but of course, one day won’t be enough! Digital Scrapbooking Days means lots of deals. There are daily deals (see below) plus of course the MDS Seasonal Sale….lots of ways to save. I’ve linked the sales items, but please note that the sales price will only appear/be valid on that day.
Digital crafting is fantastic for bulk producing items (Hello, Christmas Cards, anyone?!) and for accessing retired stamp sets or Designer Series Papers or kits – if there’s a digital version of it, you’ll never run out *sigh* All Stampin’ Up! digital downloads can be used in Mac or Windows, and in MDS or another photo editing program that can manage .png files. Newer MDS files also feature .svg cutting files to use with your digital cutting machine. (I think that should justify my next crafting purchase, don’t you??!! Although I’m not too keen about the name…LOL – Stampin’ Up!’s latest addition to the Best of sets is “Best of Snow”. Yes, I’m in denial. Never mind the fact that I live in Canada and that portions of this country (hi, friends in the prairies and Ontario snowbelt) have already seen the first snowfall…I am okay with waiting a bit longer to see it myself. I do, though, love the images in this set!
This set, like all the Best of Sets, is available until the end of March 2014 (which, believe it or not, is 4 months away. Gah.) You can shop online in the YamStamps Stampin’ Up! Canada store, from anywhere in Canada, 24/7.

I always have mixed feelings about these free digital downloads. YAY they’re free and YAY they’re pretty….but it also means that time is passing by and the year is (*gasp*) drawing to a close! (and if you don’t believe me, then you obviously aren’t subscribed to my newsletters and receiving the 12 Weeks of Christmas emails….LOL).

Here’s a sampling of the spooky projects (OK perhaps not spooky…) that I shared on Morning Live on Friday. I am always grateful to be invited back to the show to share some fun projects. Not so heavy on the rubber stamping, but lots of fun, still!
The mummy-wrapped box of candy – it’s a Smarties box – I used the smarties in some of the projects and used the empty box for this project. On air, it would have been way too noisy to use a full box! It’s wrapped in the natural 7/8″ cotton ribbon (I think I called it twill tape on air). A fun colourful card featuring the Bootiful Occasions stamp set.
The candy broomsticks, using the skinny cello bags and a fringed piece of cardstock, wrapped also with some Hallowe’en washi tape.
The paper piecing candy corn, the ghosts from the owl punch, and the little witch hat. I’ll try to get a video tutorial of how to make the hat up in plenty of time for you to create a few to share with special trick or treaters, or as a decoration for your Hallowe’en table.
I don’t have the bag toppers in this photo…because they got left behind! I will recreate them and take photos (or you can just check out the video below, on the YamStamps Youtube channel, or on the CHCH webpage LOL).
