Dec 5, 2013 | cards, Christmas, Tutorial, TV/Video/Web/Tech
Oops! I just realized that I hadn’t posted the video from my CHCH TV Morning Live appearance here! I did manage to get it onto the YamStamps Youtube channel….so I’m catching up now! I am always grateful when I’m invited back to be on the Morning Live show – the hosts and crew are fantastic to work with, and we always have fun on air. This past time, I shared some handmade Christmas card ideas – including a fun (and fairly simple to recreate) 3D card. If you have any questions, leave me a message in the comments area below, or contact me.
If you can’t see the video below, click on this link or go directly to the YamStamps youtube channel.

I’m adding an extra class onto my schedule – because I love this kit so much!! In honour of Black Friday….I’m offering up this deal starting today! For $20 you get the kit and you can attend a class here in Burlington where you will make the snowflakes! (the image on the left is the snowflake itself, the image on the right is showing ideas for its use other than ornaments, if you wish). THIS IS OFFER IS LIMITED TO 10 KITS. Once those 10 kits are gone, the deal is gone. The kits are priced at $17.95 not including shipping & tax, and my usual class fee is $20, so this is a deal!
It’s a night out to craft and have fun, plus you’ll get some holiday prep done as well!! You can use these embellishments as decorations (on the tree, on the mantel, on the door….) or as tags for those extra special presents for those extra special people… This class will be offered Wednesday, December 4th – 7pm (running simultaneously with the Monthly Card Class) and Friday, December 6th – 7pm (running simultaneously with the Christmas Card Class). You should have time to do both if you so desire. Registration and payment in advance, please and thank you. CLICK HERE or use the PayPal button below
Nov 24, 2013 | cards, Christmas, specials, Stampin' Up!
This is the card we created live on air last week when I was invited back to CHCH TV’s Morning Live show. I always enjoy my spots there, and I know that co-host Annette Hamm is crafty, so it’s always fun to share new projects with her. While this is a Christmas card, I think you could change out the sentiment and turn it into an any occasion card…maybe add a few more stars…or have no stars at all….hmmm….. You may not recognize the Stampin’ Up! Evergreen stamp set as it does not appear in a current catalogue but is still available to order, which is a good thing, since I like it so much 🙂
Reminders if you’re shopping online, use the hostess code 3JWRHXP7 for an entry to win hostess benefits for all online orders placed. The Holiday Sale is on until Monday, December 2nd – selected items and unique bundles at up to 50% off…and you’re cutting it close to register for my Christmas Stamp a Stack (this card may end up being one of the cards on the list, since it’s one of my faves!) – it’s this Saturday, November 30th. Your choice – 10am til noon or 1pm til 3pm. Contact me ASAP so you don’t miss out!
Nov 21, 2013 | Big Shot, cards, Christmas, Events, rubber stamping, Stampin' Up!
When we made this card in Stampers Club, some people were looking for the Designer Series Paper to complete this project….but it’s all done with stamps! We stamped the various ornaments from the Stampin’ Up! set Ornament Keepsakes in Smoky Slate (have I mentioned how much I LOOOOOVE this new addition to the SU colour family?), Night of Navy and Always Artichoke. Added the “merry” cut from Brushed Silver Cardstock and tada! I adhered a strip of the Brushed Silver Cardstock to a Big Shot Multi-Purpose Adhesive sheet so after we die cut the word, it adhered easily and neatly to the cardfront.
If you’re looking to build up your stash of handmade Christmas cards, register for my upcoming Christmas Stamp a Stack of Cards! Saturday, 30 November either 10am til noon or 1pm til 3pm. See my events page for details and to register. Space is limited and payment is due at time of registration.

Oct 16, 2013 | Announcements, cards, Christmas, TV/Video/Web/Tech
So – mark your calendars! This Friday, October 18th I’ll be on CH Morning Live sharing some crafty Hallowe’en projects. Should be fun! I’m not going to post ANY samples ahead of time, because when I do, that’s always the project that I don’t end up showing on air. We’ll see how that works for me this time LOL. My scheduled slot is 9:15 so set your PVR! (I’ll try to get a recording to share here as well).
In the meantime, I looooove the latest photopolymer set from Stampin’ Up! It’s called Endless Wishes and I just love the clean images and scripted words that are included in this set. Can’t wait to get my hands on one….and once I do you can be sure I’ll be using it for myself and for classes. Here’s the link to the flyer
If you’d like to get this set right away, you can place your order online and use the current hostess code WAUDSM7E. When you do, you’ll be entered into a draw to get the hostess benefits from all online orders placed! So if your order is less than $200, please use the hostess code – what have you got to lose? If your order is $200 or more, do NOT use the hostess code – you’ll earn benefits all on your own 😉 If you have questions, please contact me.
OK now to get back in the Hallowe’en spirit to prepare for Friday!
